You should do a google search, there are studies that say video games improve the following:
memory, reasoning, problem solving, hand-eye coordination, multitasking
Seriously though, how many times have you played a game that made you think hard to solve a problem? Every game provides a dilemma that needs to be solved, whether it is in strategy or puzzles, etc.

This one kid had the nerve to TURN OFF MY GAME BOY when I was playing Pokemon. He said in a really stupid voice, "You're going to rot your brain." So I got ready to punch him because I didn't save before he turned off my game, but he ran away.
And besides, video games aren't rotting my brain. I still get very good grades in school. If anything, they make you smarter. Like thinking logically. Thank Zelda for that.
lol i guess my dads just trying to scare me...and he is a doctor so thats y i believed him a bit when he said you're really rotting your brain by playing these games instead of reading books lol. I disagree that they make u smarter, i just think it makes u quicker for your thinking. Cuz i can think extremely quick but my average in school has been 91-94 for every single term in school, so really they dont make u much smarter, they just make u...think faster id say. There will always be skeptics on this tho that believe and tell people how bad games are for u.
You should take a break from time to time. After a few hours my eyes get all bloodshot!
how often is "from time to time" for you? also, how long do u think it takes if you dont take frequent breaks to start damaging yourself? im really intrigued about this type of topic since theres so much controversy between gamers and doctors/others xD

How old were you? How old was this kid? 'Cause if it were me in your place that kind would be upside-down in a dumpster, crying for help, and I might slip an old GameBoy in his pocket with Tetris for him, to rot his brain with.

No, I don't! My lowest grade this year was a 97 (I was in fourth grade) and my highest was a 103! I play games every day! So, the theory of games rotting oyur mind must be wrong.

HAHA, awesome. But I wouldn't spend the money to get a quality system and game for some kid who wouldn't take care of it. I was pretty young. He was too. But man, did that make me mad.
