Many of us have heard that by playing games you are killing your brain and you're frying everything in your head? Do you believe this is true? Are games really this bad do you think?
I've never understood this argument at all. How are video games worse for your brain than watching TV or going to a movie theater? The only time you have to use your brain while watching a movie is to tell your hand to grab more popcorn. I use my brain all the time when playing video games. Some games make more use of it than others, but even the ones that require the least amount of thinking use more brain power than watching television.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
No. Everybody knows that schools use that excuse as a cover-up because THEY ARE THE ONES FRYING YOUR BRAINS.

gaming is likely to harm your eyes, but it actually helps your brain as you have to solve unique puzzles you wouldnt have to solve in real life. HOWEVER anything in excess is bad for you
Absolutely not. Matter of fact, games and television taught me a lot of things I wanted to know, but that the stupid material provided at school wouldn't bother to have printed in it.
DaDun, Firstly i'd like to apologise for being a douche yesterday. I was really mad at Sony for treating their Australian customers like crap and had spent an hour getting a PSN account and another hour downloading stuff only to find out that everything on the store is DRM encrypted so it won't run on CFW. And everything on there was more expensive than retail and the range was tiny.
ANYWAY.... I'm assuming it's your mum or dad that said this. They probably aren't aware that to play games it requires more thinking (and in some cases more reading) than reading a book. Also, I know for a fact doctors disagree (with what your mum and dad said), because many recommend that people who are showing early signs of dementia (your brain "melting") play games to remain sharp.
