Okay. Maybe you should've stated that instead of knocking the entire rest of the site. I know the credibility of a site takes a hit when you hire a bad employee, but that doesn't mean the rest of the site is a "joke".
He said it furthers the belief, which clearly indicates it is not the sole reason but merely another incidental indicator of the site's lack of credibility in general.

Damn the English language and my lack of proof-reading. Okay, Alex, you win.
Thank goodness this issue has been resolved. Otherwise I would've gone to great lengths to get this topic destroyed forever. Except for the 'field of hats' bit.
Yeah, i remember he reviewed Helix a while back and gave it something like a 4/10. That really got me steamed because i liked Helix and he had obviously gone into the game with an already negative attitude. I'm really happy he's not on the Nintendo team anymore.
Hatfield isn't openly "bias", let alone biased. Why are people jumping to the conclusion that this opinion affects how he views the Wii games he plays for his job? It's the other way around; the Wii games he's had to play for his job have informed his opinion about the Wii.
I think a lot of non-Scoopers and IGN-haters have jumped into this to cry foul and stir the pot. If people were actually faithful Scoop listeners, they would know what he meant in that small sound-bite quoted from a much larger discussion, and they'd put it in context of the Scoop crew praising Madworld, World of Goo, Swords and Soldiers, Excitebots, Marble Saga, Wario Land Shake It, etc.
What's a non-Scooper? And in all fairness, I didn't listen to the full conversation, so I've only seen the comments taken completely out of context. I guess I need to go give it a listen.

A non-Scooper is someone who doesn't listen to Game Scoop, which is where all this controversy started.
I can post partial transcripts of the relevant parts if you like so you don't have to root around in three different podcasts totaling over 3 hours of listening to find the stuff. Of course, that doesn't give you the context of their unrelated discussions of Wii games, which is pretty much what I alluded to: they've praised Wii games and lamented their lack of sales.
Well I'm downloading the podcast. I thought I'd at least give it a listen. I've seen this news story all day long, and I really wanted to see what exactly was said in total. I've seen many bits taken out of context before and watched as they were completely blown out of proportion. But if you'd post some parts, I'd appreciate it. Might give me a better idea of what I'm looking for.
I just dont get people if you hate a certain console just ignor it and move on with your life and be happy rather then spend all your time and energy trying to force your opinions on others, but like Corbie I havent heard the podcast.
