The holes would be replaced by "instant-death plants" and places where it is impossible for Mario to not die are bricked up so he would die anyway but with less places to go to. Its still the same.

I forgot to mention, when you looks at Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection, the game has what, nearly 50 games? Most are Genesis games ($8 on the Wii) and the game is $30.
$35 for 4 NES games is downright robbery, considering SUGC has extra features as well. Pffft, I'm even more glad I'm not getting this. But to each his own...

I didn't get it when All Stars was released for SNES, and I still don't get the appeal of playing the 16bit versions of those classic 8bit titles. It always seemed wrong to me.
Sucks that it's not the version that included SMW.
Yeah, I'd like it if I were included as well. I tried to get in, but they just wouldn't allow it.
As for this game, it is a sweet collection, but its just not enough for me. I still have 2 copies of All Stars on SNES so the only reason I'd get it would be for the artbook and soundtrack. I'll be passing on this one, but its good for anyone who is interested.
If it is only $30 and comes to the US, i'll pick it up. I always liked the updated graphics in those games. Plus you get a soundtrack and book with it too in a cool box.
If this comes to our side of the world, it's still possible that it could be the version with SMW. The version including SMW was never released in Japan, they only got the version without SMW.
