Topic: Conduit

I'm buyin' The Conduit for it's multiplayer but am desperately hoping the single player is good, good, good.
Then I too can use my free speakers from PLAY and pretend they are the All Seeing Eye, then take down the government (which wont be much trouble right now).

Red Steel 2 i'm buying just cozza that awesome opening cut-scene, and the prospect of actually doing what I thought I was gonna be doing when I got Red Steel 1 home on launch night.

I cannot disagree with previews being sketchy things to base a purchase upon. I've read more than one preview at IGN that seemed to be a 180 from the eventual review -- even from the same person -- which makes you wonder about how much of the language in previews is more politics than a fair assessment of a game.

I'm still up for this one; I still expect a decent storyline and now that I have Wii Speak and loads of recently registered Wii friends from Nintendo Life I'm looking forward to online multiplayer more than I ever have in my Mac FPS-ing past.

I not that interested in the Conduit, I'm not all that interested in the FPS. From what I've seen it's missing a certain something that drives me to other games. That something is humor. The game takes itself to seriously, much like most of real world does. I play these video games much like I watch movies and read books, to escape the real world;and with so little laughter in the world, if the game has to mirror real life (i.e. Shooting and Killing) I want some comic relief in there to lighten the mood. For example I wouldn't have picked up MadWorld if not for the comedic commentating done by Joe "Bender of Futurama" DiMaggio and Greg "Whose Line Is It Anymay?" Proops as well as the comedic follies of The Black Baron (Never have I laugh at some one exploding into a bloody pulp as I did with him).

I used to be that way but really im not all for the single player in an fps, im after the multplayer wrecking my friends and laffing with them about their headshot on me or them fragging me or vice versa. Its fun with friends, i never believed it until i played halo 3 with a few boarders at my school and even tho i wasnt tight friends with all of them, we had a really fun time. So i was like wow multiplayer really is so much better. I like games like brawl, games like fps multiplayer, and racing multiplayer, always gives a group something to laff about whether its edgeguarding to make sum1 fall off the stage, headshotting ur best friend when hes sneaking up on sum1, or passing sum1 at the very end of a race after shelling them in mario kart...all these things make me believe multiplayer is the reason for games.

I'm rapidly losing interest in this game. Not sure why I was interested in the first place, actually, since I'm not a huge FPS fan to begin with. I might cancel my Conduit reservation so I can afford to buy Overlord 2. Hard to decide...

The only reason im going to buy it is to encourage a movement of more fps' and more core games on wii

I'd keep the conduit preorder, because if you don't like it you can sell it for more since its a limited edition preorder bonus.

The only reason I'm interested is because of the story and it looks like it could be fun with aliens and shooting and stuff.

I might get this if the online play comes out good the story dosent really look that interresting

That's quite an assumption. Ubisoft's Gamestop "limited edition" titles aren't worth more than the regular editions, so why would this game work differently?

It's got a game guide -- it's like getting a program at the opera or a football game; do you know how much people pay for those on Ebay decades after the fact?

I`ll buy this game when it comes to stores.

Anyway, I'm planning to go ahead and give it a go anyway. Could be good. At the very least, I'll finally have an opportunity to use my stupid WiiSpeak!

a game doesnt need to be universally accecpted to be awesome everyone think about that first, then go buy the game.

preach pastor, i so believe in that man , i love quantum of solace despite the 4.5 rating (out of 10) Its the only fps to have local and online multiplayer that is lag free. The single play is really laggy tho, but the local cant be beat, red steel 1 meets its maker with this local

One game that comes to mind is No More Heroes; that was the final straw for me to really give a rats (censored) about Matt the (censored again, same word too) and his bull crap: like Kid Icaris. I think he uses that game just to rally the blinded Ninty-fanboys to continue to hate Nintendo.

Anyway, ever since the game was first shown on video form; I would had liked to buy it for the online multiplayer, but I wonder if I want to bother with this title. I much prefer to just play other online FPS like Team Fortress 2, and if I do want a console shooter; I might just wait for Water Warfare.

i dont think water warfare is gunna be as gud as everyone says its goin to be, seems like a good for 2 weeks type of game but after that...boring! lol i hope it does well but i doubt it
