I haven`t played the game so I can`t say much. Though I was expecting atleast an 8.5 but hell HVS has only gave us average games to play so far and yet I`ve only seen 1 review on the game so... well yea. And it`s a FPS. You cant really innovate that genre by any means necessary and especially not on Wii. Though they did say the online play could be matched to Halo`s

No magazine is reliable for reviews, imo. The only place I trust for reviews to likely be reasonably accurate at least 95% of the time is right here on Nintendo Life (more than just a shameless plug; I mean it!). Doesn't mean they don't get it horribly wrong the other 5% of the time, but in my experience you could flip those two figures and have a pretty accurate representation of your average gaming magazine.
This said, I feel that the fact that Nintendo Power reviews ONLY Nintendo products is actually its greatest strength, as it isn't biased against them like everybody else, ESPECIALLY Game Informer. Games should be regarded on their own merits and not haphazardly compared to titles on COMPLETELY different hardware in manners arbitrary enough to shame whoever decides which crappy VC game we'll get THIS Monday!
My Backloggery Updated sporadically. Got my important online ID's on there, anyway. :P
(facepalm) For a game that's supposedly the savior of the Nintendo Wii hardcore gamers, according to that score, High Voltage has failed their mission, but 8/10 is still good thought. We might as well put our faith in Tutsunko Vs. Capcom if The Conduit isn't universally acclaimed or at least nearly. If Tutsunko Vs. Capcom, Curse Mountain, Metroid: Other M, and No More Heroes 2: Desperate struggle aren't universally acclaimed, hardcore gamers will permanently think that Nintendo has abandon the hardcore base and is only for soccer moms, babies, and old people, which Nintendo Life members (Us) are probably one of the few sites that realize that this is wrong. Oh well, I'll still get it.

Yeah for High Voltage saying this would be the best looking and best playing game on the Wii, they already failed.

But then I never expected much from them anyways.
Actually from what I remember HVS said they were going to make the best looking and best FPS on the Wii console and from NP & IGN, they did just that.
But hell lets all play the game first before judging... shall we?

I don't know about Nintendo Power, but I laugh at the scores Game Informer gives games. I mean, aren't GameStop and Game Informer owned by the same company? I rarely see a horrible score for a game coming out. I won't play the Conduit anyways, so the score doesn't effect what I think.
