can wii take 8gb sd cards now.

The Wii can take 32GB cards now, but practically speaking with a limit of 120 games on the SD channel and 40MB max per game you're not even going to fill 8GB let alone 32GB. I suppose if you keep a ton of photos on the card for Photo Channel and Rock Band downloads you could...

I tried to download songs from Rock Band 2 on my 8 GB card, and it wouldn't work. Only Guitar Hero 5 and Band Hero support the high density SD cards, you will need a 1 or 2 GB SD card for Rock Band 2.

Just wanted to make sure, if I have a corrupted SD card, reformatting it should fix the problem.

@LinktotheFuture: you want to make absolutely sure the SD card's data has been corrupted before reformatting. Sometimes just ejecting and re-inserting the card can make the computer recognize it again, or trying it in a different computer or card reader may make the data suddenly readable as well.

that said, yes, reformatting will make your SD card useable again should it really be corrupted. :3
