Guys you know that saying "nothing gained, nothing lost"
Alot of people think just that or are just flat out disappointed, but look at it this way, atleast now Nintendo knows that they have to localize alot more games. They now know what the fans want and I think that atleast from now on we are gonna get alot more games localized than ever before.

Currently playing:
3DS: KI: Uprising
Wii: Xenoblade Chronicles
"Heh, heh... Thanks... You're nice. Umm... Can I ask... a question? Your friends... What kind of... people are they? I wonder... Do these people... think of you...as a friend?"

I don't think that boycotting will bring Xenoblades and The Last Story to the states (That's what this is about... right...?) The only way for them to bring it to the states is to convince them that it will actually sell decently and you do that with petitions, Facebook groups, letters to Nintendo.

Trying to annoy people into doing things is rarely good. The only reason you should boycott a product is if you don't want a game to sell well to either teach a lesson or because of your beliefs. Boycotting Bioshock 2 because the DLC is already on the disc or boycotting Shadow Complex because of Orson Scott Card's anti-gay beliefs are legitimate reasons. Boycotting something to force a company to spend thousands of dollars to bring a game to the states for just a handful of people who want it is not good and it might even lessen the chance that Nintendo brings future games to the states.

You think a petition will convince them to bring a game out?

I am a bit pissed at Nintendo's attitude toward this issue but I won't be boycotting them nor will I ever. Nintendo has made stupid choices in the past, they make stupid choices now, and they will no doubt make stupid choices in the future. You just have to deal with it. Yeah it sucks but if operation rainfall didn't budge them, nothing will. Although I do still have a glimmer of hope since they didn't completely dismiss it. They may very well be looking into the possibility of localization but don't want to get hopes up if it falls through. I believe Nintendo will do the right thing in the end. NPC Pikmin 2 on the other hand, there is quite simply no excuse why that one never came to America. You hear me Nintendo!? That was just mean! You permanantly scarred me with that one

I seriously doubt that many Nintendo gamers who can afford to buy games would truly have the conviction to turn down the purchase of a new Wii Zelda title. I don't care to boycott Nintendo for not releasing these games.

Seriously, if I truly cared about this, which I don't, I would better spend my time trying to convince niche publishers like Aksys, XSEED, and Atlus to put forth the effort to localize and release them instead.

I'm disappointed, but I just don't blame Nintendo for releasing them, I'd definitely purchase them if they were released here, but I don't believe they would be sales blockbusters and don't know if it would be worth their efforts in localizing.

What is the meaning of life? That's so easy, the answer is TETRIS.

I believe Nintendo owns the rights to these games which is keeping third-party publishers from bringing them to the US, if I'm not mistaken from reading this.

It worked for Tatsunoko vs Capcom D:
Then again, that was Capcom, a company that actually cares about their fans...

EXACTLY. Nintendo's big game for this holiday season is Zelda and that is the one Nintendo wants people to purchase this holiday season. I think sometimes Nintendo fans get a little too spoiled and ask a little bit too much from the company. People tend to forget that Nintendo is a major company and they have to pay attention to what moves will make them the most money and what moves would make them lose or earn a very small amount of money. Releasing 3 JRPG games that the average consumer has never heard of is a poor choice because who in the right mind would pick up one of those 3 games over a brand new shiny copy of Skyward Sword, which is a familiar face and enjoyable for almost everyone. Not to mention this is the 3DS's first holiday season so Nintendo is going to be pushing the 3DS heavily as well. The price of localizing these 3 JRPG's and advertising them so people learn just what they are about would probably exceed or be around the amount of money Nintendo would make off the sales and leave Nintendo in the negative most likely...I think.
