I am looking for a decent fishing game for the Wii. I have heard of Sega Bass Fishing, Reel Fishing:Angler's Dream, and Bass Pro shop The strike. Others have also been mentioned and I would like gamers opinions as which might be a good title to get. Anyone ideas?

It may be extremely difficult to locate a copy of Fishing Resort anywhere on store shelves, so I've provided the link below. It will direct you to the Fishing Resort information page on Amazon.

I second the vote for Fishing Resort. If you are after a good Wii fishing title, Fishing Resort is an absolutely fantastic (and probably the best) choice. There are just so many fish ans a lot of great places all around the island to fish. And then there is the aquarium which you build on with money you earn which will display every fish you catch. Its all very satisfying and it will take you some time to run out of things to do. Absolutely by far the best fishing video game ever created.

@vonseux, your character and the NPC models might appear a little childish, but that's the full extent of that visual design choice. The fish are very realistic and they're spot-on representations. The texture mappings and water effects are very realistic and beautiful for a Wii title. You're allowing one very inconsequential dislike deter you from enjoying the very best fishing experience there has ever been. It's also budget priced at only $19.99, so how much of a risk would you really be taking?

@Nick-Clegg, well go get sick somewhere else dude. I really don't understand why you even wasted your time posting in this thread. That was very childish and unnecessary.

Nope, no Miis in Fishing Resort. But it has tons of different areas to fish in and hundreds of fish to catch. That's what it's all about.

No, the game doesn't provide the option to play with your Mii. Although, the character customization gives you enough choices to create a character that should somewhat resemble yourself. Plus, there is a ton of clothing options in the game. Which you have to purchase with the points you earn. Some clothing options and fishing equipment are only made available by unlocking them.
