I've been thinking. There are alot of things that other consoles get that the Wii doesn't. Like SF4. I know, the graphics are probably too good for the Wii. But no excuse. They couldv'e just downgraded it. Would've been better that nothing, right? So here's a topic listing off all sorts of things that Nintendo has missed out on or should've gotten. Each thing represents a brick to build a wall that just shelters the Wii (or even DS) from isolation of the other big video game companies. But, don't anyone forget about all the good that's happened to the Wii, this is for fun and listening to opinions. Also, thing's such as delayed release dates or Japan only games or just things Nintendo should've thought of a long time ago count as well. Let's see how this goes!
Katamari and Little Big Planet come instantly to mind. And neither of those would require a serious graphical downgrade either.
Well, aint little big planet a sony exclusive?
Um, yeah...but isn't that what he's asking? The things that Nintendo is missing out on?
Well, aint that just like saying "why dont Ps3 get Super Mario Kart" ?
...if someone was asking for a list of all the great games this generation that the PS3 doesn't get, what would be wrong with listing Mario Kart?
Well, its nothing wrong with it, but mario belongs to Nintendo so it wont happen. This is more about Wii not getting the multiplattform games. At least, thats how i came to believe.
The bricks on the walls for Nintendo Wii: 1. (Only for North Americans) Poor Virtual Console support lately. 2. Suffers from constant bombs of inferior versions. 3. Most exclusives for the Wii are sub-par (Pre-2009). 4. (Please don't kill me on this) Failed to keep sanity of most hardcore gamers as they complain about everything. 5. The Wii being less powerful then the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
They supposedly fixed #3. #5 we can live with, because we have innovation! However, #1, #2, and #4 (Especially this one) could litteraly destroy Nintendo reputation as a high-quality company that we all know of and still is. Those three issues needs to be fixed as soon as possible.
claiming that the wii cant handle the graphics is pure bullshit! 3rd partys just aren't willing to push its limits. Metroid: Other M looks graphically beautiful because Team Ninja is pushing the Wii's limits if more 3rd partys push the limits (and I'm looking at you Capcom) than the Wii supporters would be able to get their RE5s, SFIVs and Soul Calibers.

They could make a Street Figther IV for the Wii that looks just fine. You don't need the best graphics in the world as long as you have great gameplay.

personally i'm liking Metroid: Other M's graphics because they remind me of the older GBA or SNES Metroid games

I don't know about that. LBP would run horribly on Wii because online play would be horribly laggy and you wouldn't be able to run user-made levels off of the server for the same reason, but you also wouldn't have storage room for downloading many levels. The only way I could see that working is if it did get a serious graphical downgrade so that the levels would be significantly smaller in file size.
The level editor is more complicated and wonky than any I've ever played with, anyway, which completely ruins what the game is supposed to be about.
I read the title of this topic and thought this had to deal with Pink Floyd. SF4 on Wii would be an interesting idea. I thought Silent Hill: Shattered Memories was going to be another PS3 exclusive but I don't know how the Wii version will stand against the PS3 one.
