people are really confused about the multiplayer since they said that: The Grinder will also feature two-player support in the form of a co-op mode which can be played either locally or online.
people this means that you and a friend can go online and play with other two more people...
That would be perfect if you could go online with a friend in split-screen. I'm sure HVS has thought about that already. 4 players still seems like it will be implemented for online play, just not local because of so much going on.

I agree. I think that there will be two player split screen, but that when played online you will be able to have four people connected up together, just like how left for dead is structured...
How about we wait until it actually gets picked up by a publisher. We probably won't hear much until that happens.
Sean Aaron ~ "The secret is out: I'm really an American cat-girl." Q: How many physicists does it take to change a light bulb? A: Two, one to hold the light bulb, the other to rotate the universe.
Actually we'll probably hear even less when they get a publisher. High Voltage kept going on and on about new weapons and levels and alien types and story and multiplayer for the Conduit. They wouldn't shut up, and then SEGA picked it up and new information was null for months. I expect to hear a lot about the Grinder in the following months, along with Gladiator A.D, and when people start getting excited or skeptical, a Publisher will decide whether it's worth the pick up. I don't think they'll have any problem finding one, High Voltage certainly knows how to excite a crowd. Now it just needs to work on selling the games.

@smash Seems like a bit much for a publisher like Eidos to handle. The question is would Square Enix find it a worthwhile investment? (They own Eidos for those that don't already know)

Not sure how this is good for them. It's less likely to sell on other systems where this sort of game is ordinary fare, except usually made by decent developers. They were better off sticking with Wii where they could fool people into thinking it's unique by tossing in IR control and graphics on par with the latest N64 game.
@Alexsays: Thanks. Well it would be interesting to see how well people on wii would do against someone with a standard controller. I think that there is an advantage that the wii has controlwise over traditional controls. I would think you could aim a heck of alot faster.
