I heard that it wasn't 100% confirmed to be exclusive in some interview with a guy demoing Rayman Legends- just "for now at E3"...

Yeah but Ubisoft always talks this way. They said the same about Red Steel. I doubt it'll go multiplatform when such a large part is based on the GamePad. It could be gimped downgraded versions along the way.

I don't know, SmartGlass and Playstation Mobile seem like they could handle the gameplay needed for Rayman Legends...

I don't think so, the Wii U tablet seems to be able to do a hell of a lot more intensive stuff on the second screen while doing something different and equally as complex on the primary screen. I think there's a bigger gap between what the Wii U can do and the other "tablet" systems can do than you'd think when looking at it trivially. Just for a start you don't see any big PS3 games being played remotely on the Vita and the Halo 3 + SmartGlass stuffs didn't look anymore complicated than basic input wrapped inside a webpage.

More likely they'd have to either water down the tablet stuffs significantly to get it to work or just take it out of the game if they wanted to port it.

I so hope it has pointer controls. It would be such a step back to exclude them. I'm also afraid this'll end up like Red Steel

This X Infinity.
I'd be blown away if Ubisoft didn't include them. We're supposed to be building on the brilliant fundementals ot the wii remote/pointer control scheme especially for the first person genre. Not taking them away in favor of touch screen based gamepad screen ideas at least for certain genre's like this......

To me it doesn't matter how unique the gamepad screen ideas are for a 3rd or first peson genre that requires you to aim with a gun or use a sword. i want to point with my wii remote...Best control method bare none when using a gun. it makes sense after all doesn't? Point and shoot, instead of fiddling your thumbs around on a couple of stupid sticks. If this were Retro, you'd bet your a** they'd include wii remote plus + Nunchuck as an alternate control scheme for Metroid Prime 4....

the Wii remote plus is already perfect in my eyes. We just need a wireless nunchuck with Pointer/Gyro controls and rumble feedback! B-) Imagine using it as Link's shield 1:1 as you block incoming enemie attacks and yadah yadah. My body is ready nintendo, and I want this! :p

And tablets not being able to run the Watchdogs UI lol.

Tablets are more powerful with the wii so I'm sure they could run this.

The tablet isn't really doing anything, you could use the DS and it'd work pretty much just as well. Let me put it this way... ideas that should work on all three:

Ideas that will work on the PS3/Vita and Wii U:

Stuff that will probably only work on Wii U:

In an interview with IGN, Ubisoft said they'll consider bringing ZombiU to PS3 and 360, using Vita and "SmartGlass" respectively, if it does well enough on The 'U.

two things
1) Ubisoft says that about everything
2) Besides the sniper bit there wasn't much in there that is really that intense. PSVita + PS3 will probably work and technically so should 360 + SmartGlass.... the problem with the latter is that it's not really going to work gameplay wise. Tablets don't have buttons and 360 controllers don't have motion control or touch screens.

Yeah, that's the problem with Smartglass. You'll need to use the tablet (on your lap?) and 360 controller. So, no, Smartglass cannot fully replicate the WiiU experience the same way and certainly not any better. Vita on the other hand...

I never said I wanted it to be true BTW (it's definately built for The 'U), I just figured that the comment was worth bringing up.

If they had that confirmed and it was in the sizzle reel I'd be waiting in the rain at the Wii U launch to get one
