I would like the new Zelda game to be something along the lines of Majora's Mask. Instead of having a 3 day cycle, they could have like a 3 day week so certain places would be open on certain days, certain things would happen on certain days, like in Majora's Mask, but in a continuous timeline and not constantly going back to day 1. It would certainly make the world seem more lively. You could even have like NPCs go to visit other people certain days, so they'll be riding through hyrule field in a horse carriage or something.
Also, the graphical style, similar to Majora's Mask, I would like. OoT as well, I guess, since they both had the same style.
I suspect a more realistic style. I mean okay, they ruled out the tech demo style (or something, I suspect it was more 'it isn't guaranteed to be like this' than an outright denial), but come on... that's what sells and gains hype for a Zelda game. Just remember how big Twilight Princess was:
Nintendo cannot afford a niche Zelda game on a system that's failing like the Wii U. They need one that'll cause a hype explosion online and get people buying Wii U systems, and honestly, another Wind Waker or Skyward Sword style game wouldn't achieve that.
Something like RIME would be nice, looks really adventurous:
Or a real "storybook" style game with the same art style as the old Zelda games but in full 3D.
I really hope they go with something that looks intriguing. I don't want something as dark as Twilight Princess ever again. Majoras Mask proves that the game doesn't have to look dark & boring to give a more 'serious' vibe.

Before the art style quickly became old. Even at launch the over-use of bloom and the low rest textures stood out. Wind Waker or Skyward Sword you could basically port directly to a HD version almost without altering the game at all. Twilight Princess would need an overhaul.

"Don't stir the pot" is a nice way of saying "they're too dumb to reason with"
IDK why people say TP is dark, the only thing dark about TP was it's look but it was just another Zelda game. MM was dark but this game was just another zelda game with a dark color palette.
To answer your question let's combine both XD oh the irony.
