Topic: Zelda Wii U ( online or not)

Should the new Zelda be online or not? What do you think?

In what way?

Open world. Like skyrim but with lots of online players. Sort of like the new elder scrolls online. There could also be levelling up.

I don't want The Legend of Zelda to ever go online, personally. Heck, I've never even been keen when it's gone local multiplayer. Zelda is a pure single-player experience and I really do hope it stays that way.

Now, if Nintendo and Monolith Soft wanted to do that with a spiritual sequel to Xenoblade Chronicles, I'd just give them my wallet.

There is no way Zelda is going to be an online game.

Or there could be a Zelda where you can play as a Goron or Zora like on Majoras Mask.

I'm guessing the new one will be the one for 3DS?

If that's the one you mean I'm all for it. IMO the handheld Zelda's are great for experimentation. Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks had some fun multiplayer, nothing that made the game better or worse though.

As for the big one for WiiU, I'd rather see them focus on a solid singleplayer than waste time on multiplayer for that one.

Why would Zelda be multiplayer? No matter how you think about it just wouldn't work. Zelda is an in depth single player experience, not everything has to be online now.

If its like 4 swords then yes, if it's online like PH or an MMORPG then NO!!!!

No Zelda MMORPG for me.....Ugh MMO's are going a little stale IMO, though I have yet to play Guild Wars 2...... but that is another topic....

Yes it does otherwise how could one pay obscene amounts of $$$ for DLC recolors and shadow characters

I mean, if it was Four Swords, then sure, but I think they're done with those games. (sadly, Adventures was fun)

Why does everything have to have online in it these days.
I prefer my Zelda games single Player only.

The only way Zelda could logically be online multiplayer is if it were a four swords type of deal, which is a spin off and not the traditional Zelda experience. There are some games that do not benefit from being online and Zelda is one of them. What would be the point?

i kinda have to agree if they took time to add multiplayer it would keep from the team working on the story mode

but i can see maybe a place or a town were other player can join together and like chat i guess or some how you play mini games together? i mean idk in majoras there was one place were you had to race as a goron and there were tons of other gorons in the race so something like that? o_o
