Zelda is my second-favorite Nintendo series under Metroid, so I am as much excited for the next Zelda game as I am the Metroid one. I wanted to ask you gamers what you think is gonna be new in Retro Studios's future Zelda game. I am expecting it allow to use the touch screen for sword cutting by a swipe of your finger. The use of gyro scope is a good fit for bow and arrow aiming. And I hope they add voice-acting in the game, especially for Link. What potential do you guys (and maybe gals) do you think Retro will use of the gamepad?

The less gimmicks the better.

I'd be happy with something linear like Skyward Sword, but with all the areas being completely connected instead of having a pointless overworld. Also tingle.

I agree we don't want another Faces of Evil or Wand of Gamelon

It's amazing how people don't trust that Nintendo is able to find good voice actors. Nintendo didn't develop those CD-i games, y'know.

Nintendo can find good voice actors, I just think Zelda would lose its essence if link talked

I blame Other M.

Honestly, I was against voice acting in Zelda a lot more before Kid Icarus Uprising. I mean, ok sometimes the script could make characters more annoying than they should be, but that had some pretty good voice acting overall.

But like Uprising, if there's voice acting, EVERYTHING should be voice acted. Outside of random unimportant npcs or something else minor like that, I haaaate it when there's voice acting in the game and then there's parts where there isn't. It's one of those things that really can take me out of a game and is one of my biggest problems with certain games (Tales of Symphonia especially).

I wouldn't want Link to talk, since we are supposed to be Link ourselves... but I'd like the other characters to finally talk.

Link is a mute end of discussion. Btw Retro has not been appointed Zelda, NIntendo just tells us they would trust them with the license if it wasn't for the fact that retro is in Texas and not in Japan. One would think that Retro works on a new Metroid to save the travesty that was OtherM (which i liked a lot) Swiping the sword on the gamepad seems very likely and is a neat idea.

Nintendo should just do what RETRO Studios did with Metroid Prime 3, keep the main protagonist quiet but give everyone else voices. That's a superb solution IMO.
