Topic: YouTube videos stopped working.

Hey. Just went on youtube on the browser and the videos dont work anymore. I dont know what they are doing or if its the wii u. The YouTube app works as normal but i dont really use that. Anybody else having these problems?

I've only uploaded one video, which was three days ago and I just checked and it still works.

Try pressing and holding on the video with the stylus until the option "Play Video in Web Page" appears. If that doesn't work, try going to Settings and changing the user agent to something other than Wii U, which is the default setting.

What happens is i press play and then the video goes black and all thats visible is the time. I stabbed again around the middle of the video where the play button usually is and the video then played as normal. I had to then do this on every video i wanted to watch after that.

@cloudrunner64: yeah I'm having the same problem at the moment - weird because yesterday everything was working properly. The youtube app works fine but trying to watch a video from the web browser always results in a black player screen.
Same goes with Dailymotion videos = black screen, no sign of life beside perpetual loading and that's driving me crazy because that's where I usually see my favourite footy cartoon. It's not the first time Dailymotion videos don't work, but it's an absolute first for Youtube - they'd better fix this thing...

@cloudrunner64: @spizzamarozzi: I was having the same problem with Youtube earlier too and thought it was my Wifi as it had been playing up earlier.When I reloaded the page it usually worked though.Once though after I refreshed the video played but the bottom bar where you can change settings wasn't visible,refreshed again and it appeared.Strange!

The way to get around the dailymotion problem is to do what @Not_Soos said,
Hold the stylus on the video and the option to play full screen should come up. click that and it works as normal. Same goes for youtube vids.
