Topic: YouTube broken again on Wii U Internet Browser?

Guys has any of you tried YouTube on the Internet Browser? I can't get YouTube to load properly. I think this happened when they updated the YouTube App for Wii U.

I've never used the YouTube app on my Wii U, find the browser easier.
Anyway, I just used YouTube just then and it worked no problem. Are you having a problem when you press the big play button and nothing comes up? Try pressing the small play on the bottom left. Fixes it for me.

Yeah I always use the Wii U browser as well. But for some reason I can't get the actual YouTube page to load properly. Sometimes the page is broken or it won't load at all and throws error codes at me and tells me the page can't be loaded. Works fine for other sites though. It's getting kinda irritating.

Never had that issue. I'm not sure about what to do then. Sorry.

Youtube in general had a few changes lately (including the infamous Google+ linking) so improper coding might have caused problems again?

Yeah my thoughts exactly. For now I won't jump the gun and say that's really the reason but I want to know first if anyone is also affected by this.

Try changing your user agent to a mobile device as a stop gap.

For some reason certain videos don't work. I suggest, as @Warruz said, switching to a different user agent (android-tablet always works for me) and refresh the page with the video.

It's an issues with how the ads are displayed, so it will work every time an ad was not going to be displayed.

That's actually not it, at least in my case. Usually when I come across the problem is when the video is in a playlist.

same here, only videos from playlists dont work. i used to have problems with ads but you just have to move the video to the tv screen and skip the ad on the youtube page.

In my case, after the YouTube App update I couldn't play any Video on YouTube(Browser).
My device couldn't play this video..or something like that appeared on the Video.

Changing the agent helped for a while.
But now everything works fine again now.

I think you have to wait. I think the problem is maybe on YouTube's side.

If anyone's having problems with youtube on the Wii U internet browser, just type in _popup in the URL after watch and before ?, the video you want to watch will become a popup and easily viewable.
