December 10th.... just started the youtube app up and an update was available. I don't see anything different. My subscribed channels still tell me "no videos are available", and no changes to actually utilize the gamepad screen in a clever way. Is this possibly the worst youtube app ever created?
Ya, Youtube needs to get their act together. I don't watch Youtube much, but I've heard they make terrible apps for anything they put it on. I thought the apps on devices were good for how much I use Youtube, but that's also taking into account that I don't watch Youtube that often.

I saw an article on Destructoid talking about how Youtube is amazing on the browser, but not on the app. Huh. Well, nothing stopping people from using the browser, so I don't see the problem.
Best thread ever

Actually, I've heard that Youtube on the Wii U browser is better than on a computer. Seriously.
When I get a Wii U, the first thing I'm going to do is check out the thing's internet browser. I know it sounds weird, but that thing has been getting some crazy universal prase.

Seriously, when I first got the app last month and ran it, I got a nice burned patch on my TV screen because of the bright white that occupied that area. Took a while for it to clear though, but it cleared. I uninstalled it moments later, and just use the browser as that is perfectly fine to use.

Yeah, I've heard the praise too. Hence my earlier statement.

That's pretty consistent with what I've seen. Honestly, it looks like the best youtube app ever when you're in the browser.
Youtube is crazy good on the Wii U's browser. I'm so amazed by the Wii U's browser; it's better than any browser I've ever used on a computer.

I'm working on an animated feature film called "WhiteLand." Check out my progress: http://www.youtube.com/user/ianmage1
One nice feature of the Wii U web browser is that you can play a video on the TV screen while you browse away on a completely different web page on the controller. Perfect for Youtube.. The Youtube app is not really necessary - has no touch controls and the interface is confusing.
The WiiU browser is much, much better for Youtube then any device I have ever used. It's super fast, it has no ads, You can even watch it on the game pad. But the best part, You can put the video on the TV and continue to browse the web while it plays, It's excelent! I don't see why you even need the broken Youtube app.. But still, I hope they do fix it soon.
