But I think the best name would either be "Wii Dream" or "Wii Stream" with the "Dream"/"Stream" part of the name more emphasized so it wouldn't sound as silly to "hardcore gamers" AND it would seem more like a new console (Just putting a "U" after "Wii" would make seem more like a "DSi" kind of upgrade). But keep "Wii" in the name so it can get it's Wii fanbase, but just have the "Wii" part less emphasized so it would be like "a new console from the makers of the Wii". I give Waveboy credit for the "Dream" part since he was hoping Nintendo's next console would be simply named the "Dream" before E3 2011. I know "Wii Stream" is a more likely name because it's more relevant to the console's functions and because the word "Dream" was already used in a console name (Dreamcast), but "Wii Dream" would be like saying "We dream together!" and looking at the screen on the controller would be like the image you see when you are dreaming!
I know Nintendo probably won't name it any of these, this post just consists of my wishful thinking.

I don't mind the Wii U name, goes with the whole Wii name theme. Then again, people hated the name Wii, so maybe they'll do a rebrand, though I suspect it'd be simply, Wii HD... maybe with the HD sideways so it looks kinda like an emoticon.
They're not going to change the name. The Wii U is trademarked now, and they made an actual logo for it. The "Revolution" was just a codename for the Wii, it never had a logo or a trademark.
If I were a betting man, I'd say a name change is almost guaranteed. They don't want consumers to think this new console is just a mere upgrade from the Wii, especially not if the retail price of it surpasses $250. I never thought the Wii U name would stick.

That doesn't mean anything. Companies trademark plenty of names that never see actual use.
"The government of the United States is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion."
I wouldn't be surprised at all if they change it. They should.
Rumor =/= fact
More often than not lately all the "rumors" have come true. Circle Pad Pro, remember when that was a rumor and no one beleived tha Nintendo would offer this? How about Project Cafe, no way was Nintendo's next system going to have a screen on the controller!
It's only January and E3 is five months away and 9 months at least before this thing launches, plenty of time for Nintendo to rebrand the Wii U.
Nintendo isn't changing the name. Iwata still calls it the Wii U, he still uses the official logo, so it's done. The name is still Wii U.
If there is going to be a name change, Iwata is most certainly not going reveal the name right off the bat therefore he will use name, Wii U, until the time comes.
