I can only think on Metroid, another Excite game or even a new Punch-Out!! game.
I would love another Excitetruck, Excitebots is awesome but a little unfocused. A new Excitetruck focused on racing (and the level transformations) would/could be really awesome.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

black screen double-slash-mark Smash logi aopears and burns away the screen opening onto Marth's blade shimmering in the Sun
Marth and Lucina are having a dual and as Marth skillfully parries and dodges around Lucina's attacks, it becomes clear he's got the upoer hand, but the she blocks a high swing, goes low and (literally) sweeps him off his feet and onto his back. She gives a slight nod when the sound of feet pounding on the ground and the start of a new theme signals the arrival of a fighter. She turns around and with a flash of red, a blade lands on hers, knocking her back!
Roy comes back for more! (I can't think of a good pun. Someone give me a good pun!)
Clips play showing off Roy's moveset and how it hasn't changed. After, he's leaving the arena and Marth and Lucina appear to be catching their breath, the scene appearing to be winding down. But Roy starts and the scene zooms towards the archway with a figure walking calmly out sayingb "Are you my next challenger?"
RYU TAKES TO THE STREETS!
They land down in a Smash recreation of Ryu's stage from Street Fighter II in a scene showing off Ryu's fighting skills, the stage is an almost perfect recreation, walk-offs and all, but obviously bigger in scale compared to actual SFII.

Barring Metroid (as it's been predicted too much to be a surprise tbh), I think one thing I could genuinely see happening is a Nintendo developed Megaman game. I'm also certain it would be Retro if they aren't working on Prime 4.
I would love to see that. DKCR equivalent of a Megaman game could be so amazing.

Retro staff was tapped for Mega Man before. One of the last projects put together by Inafune.

What if that's what Retro's doing, now? Just under different terms. Just a thought.
Technically, that's some sort of team made up of people who left Retro.
Also I have to say, the hatred that got is annoying to me. I mean, I agree that the aesthetic is disappointing but if they literally just made it look more like Megaman X, that could've been a great game with that talent.
I never knew about that Maverick Hunter trailer, and I'm glad I didn't. I can't help but shed a figurative tear whenever someone suggests that one of my beloved, colorful series get a generic gritty reboot.
Try 2016. The 3D World team is working on another Mario game and I have a feeling it's going to be a 2016/2017 game.
It's been a year and a half since 3D World. At the very least, they should have something to show at E3.
Not really, especially if it's the big 3D game we all want it to be, they're going to want to take their time if that's the case. The only way I can see it showing up this year is if it's Super Mario 3D World: Leftover Ideas Edition, and since Nintendo has taken heed to complaints of too many similar games releasing in a short period of time, I don't think they're going to go that route.
Also, they've already confirmed no additional Mario games for 2015, so the next Mario game can't be early than 2016. And it's probably going to be a Fall 2016 game to capitalize on holiday sales like usual, which would make E3 2016 a better time to show it off.

Also I'd expect the next big 3D Mario game to be on the successor to Wii U so nothing would be mentioned until at least 2016.
