I'm personally hoping for:
1. Paper Mario Wii U in the style of Thousand Year Door.
2. Next Level Games' new project (Hopefully Luigi's Mansion 3!"
3. Mother 3 re-release or remake.
4. Cool Smash DLC. (Really want Layton!"
5. New exclusive Megaman game being developed exclusively for Wii U. (Yes I need exclusive twice.)
Seriously though, I can't wait to see what Nintendo has.

Megaman has been getting alotta Nintendo love, lately. You can wear his costume in Smash and Mario Kart 8 soon. He's becoming a friend to Nintendo just like Sonic so hopefully.... Megaman Wii U comes to life. Capcom is Capcom, though...
Luigi Mansion for Wii U is a cool idea but like I said before... it must be a huge improvement from the 3DS game.
I own a Wii U and 3DS. I also own a PS4!

@wizzgamer I actually did quite a bit of research on SEGA's business practices for a coljege paper. And the depressing thing? SEGA were total morons in all their business practices. They struck it lucky by hiring a marketing genius to sell the Genesis in North America and they even laughed at his ideas and then collectively facepalmed when his ideas worked. From there, they removed him from the conpany and proceeded to make horrible business decisions regarding their consoles. Nintendo should do anything they can to AVOID being like SEGA.
@UGXwolf unfortunately Nintendo are also making to many bad decisions.I loved sega consoles and still play them to this day same with Nintendo so it would be sad to see them go the same way. I just can't see how they can save themselves for me the damage looks to have already been done. I can see the Wii U only selling 15 million units in its lifetime if that. I just can't see them being able to get 3rd party developers on board with their next console because they will probably wait to see how it sells first and who will buy their new console when the PS4 and Xbox one already has the 3rd party companies on board and tons more games coming out.
Also, to everyone saying Metroid, Miyamoto said the series was in planning stages a year ago. Unless they made a Metroid in a year, it's not happening.
It doesn't have to be completed in a year, it just needs to reach the point where they can show it off or at least make an announcement.
Besides Guitar Hero, Pokken Tournament might release this fall, but I don't see much other than that, Xenoblade, and Yoshi happening this year.
Fatal Frame, Mario Maker, Devil's 3rd, Starfox, Rodea, are all coming this year too.
I guess I forgot Star Fox, because no one has ever seen a damn thing from it, but the rest of those aren't on the same level. However those games turn out, they aren't going to be seen as the AAA Wii U exclusives that original first party and select third party games are.

How about they hold their damn tongues until the game is a year out? Not every game has to be the hype machine like Zelda.

I think the thirst is real. If the hype machine starts at this E3 for the Metroid everybody seems to want (Prime 4 by Retro), it could gain a lot of traction by next Christmas. I think it could put up Prime 1 numbers.
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.
This thread is for people who are actually excited about the Wii U and are looking forward to Wii U announcements at E3. Jeez, guys.
About Metroid for Wii U being announced... That's... well.... It would be awesome. Maybe teased like Starfox U. I'm not expecting it to be announced at this E3, though.

My game library ranges from Mario Kart to Call of Duty to Tales of Xillia to Diablo 3 to Forza. To me gaming is about having fun - not blindly supporting only one company while thumbing your nose at "the evil other systems."
Time to read posts of Nintendo fans over hyping E3,especially for the Wiiu.
I think given last year they had Zelda, Splatoon, Captain Toad, Starfox as well as Amiibo? I don't know, pretty good reason to be at least a little bit hyped. If the only thing we get is some new info on Zelda and Starfox and one other new game? Something along the lines of DK, Metroid, Animal Crossing or whatever. That'd be enough for me.

You can't really blame anyone for getting hype when everybody was basically acting the same way last E3 and we got a crap load of stuff. As for the E3 surprises? Eh, I got nothing. Maybe StairFax stuff and a new Metroid? I can't really name anything that we might see.

We are, in so many ways, not the popular audience. I don't know how Metroid will do above the 1 million mark. The series has always done 1.x million or so, except in a few instances like Prime 1. Seriously, Prime 3 only sold like 1.7 million; it's deplorable that those games are so under-appreciated. I wonder if the series couldn't use a reboot name-wise. Just call the games 'Prime' or some stupid PR term like that. Metroids usually have an adjacent role in the plot anyway, and look how much good it's done the series name recognition-wise. Not a huge amount.
