My favourite Lego game is Lego Dimensions! I love the fact it has the mix of different franchises in the game. It also means I can have Doctor Who and The Simpsons in the same game along with some minifigures!
Reason: it isn't a traditional LEGO game, and it's a really really good open world game. And the Gamepad implementation is great! The only bad thing about that game is the loading times.
I sort of assume the first one you play is the best (mine being Undercover). Barring hideous glitches, once you've played one you've played them all really.
Isn't it obvious that Falco Lombardi is actually a parrot?
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes because of it's massive roster and new Big Fig mechanic. I also enjoyed the original LEGO Star Wars games.
@MrGawain It's easy to say that, but having played several of them, I've noticed a tangible difference between each of the games. For instance:
LEGO Star Wars: Lightsaber-based combat changes the flow of the game and the force has the player thinking more about their surroundings.
LEGO Batman: Batarangs and Suit Power-ups create more depth in the platforming an puzzle-solving
LEGO Harry Potter: Having to manage different spells adds new complexities to the game
"I'll take a potato chip... AND EAT IT!"
Light Yagami, Death Note
"Ah, the Breakfast Club soundtrack! I can't wait 'til I'm old enough to feel ways about stuff!"
Phillip J. Fry, Futurama
Yeah it would have to be the Star Wars games, but the only other franchise I care about that got the Lego treatment is Harry Potter and the game of the years 1-4 of it was kinda so-so. I haven't tried Undercover though I want to and I'm obviously looking forward to the Force Awakens.
Lego City Undercover is by far the best Lego game that I've played. The scope of the game, the use of the Gamepad and the humor put it above the others.
Lego Hobbit (WiiU) or Pirates of the Caribbean (PS3). Yeah yeah I know the latter was a glitch fest at times, but if you find out what the glitches are they're all easily avoided except the red hat one which when me and my ex played it we stumbled into like twice and he literally made me restart it LOL It was fun anyway, and a good memory of mine. The Hobbit had an absurdly large world for a Lego game imo... same with Lord of the Rings Lego.
