I would want a new 3D Super Mario game, Donkey Kong Country Returns 2, Mario Kart, and that Chase Mii game they showed off at E3, that looked like a blast. Throw in a couple of strong downloadable titles and I'm set.
They should put those Mii tech demo games and put them into one game that would be packaged with the console. I can see it attracting casuals quite well, and it seems fun. :3

Hmmm..... Starfox, F-zero, a Metroid game perhaps? Also Wii U sports, or any type of compilation of games showing off the hardware and what the controller can do.
I know that Retro is working hard on something....and I would like to see whatever they are making as a launch game. I don't care what it is, i'm gonna buy it.
@bub166: You know Bioware is coming out with one right? It was actually teased during the VGAs. If it's coming to Wii U, nobody knows xD
So Long as there's an HD F-Zero with twice the speed and insanity of GX (though without the retarded character dances) in this generation I'll be a happy man.
That said I'd also be happy if there was an HD sequel to Pandora's Tower which is absolutely epic. Also HD remakes of the Metroid: Prime series. Also Zelda... Also Starfox... Oh who am I kidding... I want all the most awesome games in HD on my parents shiny HDTV.
All I need is Link in HD and I'll be happy... And a new Metroid Prime... And Monster Hunter 5... And a 3D Mario Wouldn't hurt... This could go on forever so I'll just stop now. (Maybe a remake of Twilight Princess, that game would be good in HD... and Smash Bros. don't forget smash bros. Now I'm really stopping... Maybe.)
My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.
I agree with many of the others. We need a new Star Fox and an F-zero. A Metroid Prime-like game would be great too....of course Zelda and Mario would be needed...maybe a new Yoshi game of some sort. Can't wait for Smash Bros.

Kind of like Wii Play and Wii Sports? Those were basically tech demos that were packaged in a retail game.
Not my dream list but here's my realistic expectations list:
1. New Super Mario Bros. Mii 2. Super Mario Galaxy 3 3. The Legend of Zelda Wii U 4. Metroid Wii U 5. Pikmin 3 6. Mario Kart Wii U 7. Super Smash Bros. Wii U 8. Dragon Quest X
I would put up a Donkey Kong Country or Star Fox sequel but those are less reliable really, in regards to predictable quality and attendance. So that's 8 unique must buys right there. Factor in the random game element and I think that the Wii U will do better than N64 or GameCube but not as good as the NES, SNES, or Wii.

And Star Fox... And Mario Kart U... And Wii Sports U... And those mini-games shown at e3... And maybe a Star Wars Battlefront in HD (I got #2 for my seventh birthday, I'd love to try it with motion.) And a set of remade classics in HD, like Majoras mask (I would say OoT but it already had a recent remake), Star Fox 64 and Metroid Prime 1&2 to start it off.
