I recently discovered that you can do the famous long jump in Super Mario 3D World! I find it weird that it doesn't say anything about it in the controls instruction booklet that came with the game. I even thought it wasn't possible until I saw it in a YouTube gameplay video. All you have to do is press ZR and quickly press B afterwards with the GamePad (Also works with ZL + A). With the Wii Remote you press B + 2 (Tutorial video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JszG76C1n8I )
Is it just me that finds it odd how Nintendo decided not to include the instructions for such a classic move in the controls manual?
I never did bother looking at the manual, does it say anything about backflips and that side jump thing? (where you jump right after going the opposite direction) Also the ground pound jump....which isn't really anything special, you just jump slightly higher than normal after ground pounding, lol.

Keep it PG-13-ish.
Games I'm playing currently: Legend of Zelda: A Link Betweeen Worlds, Tearaway
Games I'm excited for: Super Mario 3D World, Super Smash Bros. 4, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Mario Kart 8
3DS Friend Code: 1719-3467-7677
Nintendo Network ID: SupaSamiStar14
It's in the digital manual, along with several other "special actions" as I think it calls them. It also notes at the bottm that there are additional actions possible that are not listed.
You can also spin jump by quickly circling the left stick a couple times and jumping.
i love doing front flips over gapand onto enemys (roll then jump really quick) . think they really nailed marios moves in this game ive never felt so genuinely acrobatic in a platformer. so much beter then the dodgey tripple jumps.
