....I was talking about the boss battle, not the level itself. lol
Bosses isn't the main thing about this game's design, since it's more of a collectathlon/exploration platformer. When you reach the boss tent, the boss design will make more sense.
Well I definitely wanted them to do more with world 4 (I'M LOOKING AT YOU 4-5!!! and 4-6 was very good but didn't fit the theme), but other than that the game has been fantastic so far! I'm glad this one has actually decent Co-op; like Tropical Freeze Co-op is nigh unplayable.
@Megumi Yoshi's Island games like the three-hit boss trope too much for any boss battle to last too long.

....Eh, I think most of them did do that then...I know Burt didn't in the original, though.
Anyways, favorite boss so far is Miss Cluck...awesome battle...awesome music. lol

Keep it PG-13-ish.
I'm still enjoying this with my daughter. In world 5 now with most of the yarn collected. World 4 had a few difficult stages to get yarn for 2 players. Might be a bit of a nightmare for flowers as well. We did go back and collect all the flowers in the first world and that stage was awesome. You almost couldn't miss collecting everything on the first special stage.

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.
@Spoony_Tech: Yeah 1-S is pretty great. With 2 players it's quite fun but I imagine as a solo experience it's a bit more difficult (without badges). Looking forward to the other S levels but idk when I'm going to get all those flowers. Also, I think you're talking about 4-5; awful co-op level ha ha.
Also speaking of which, does anyone use the badges? Over here we sometimes use them when revisiting a level, or occasionally getting big yarn-balls just because they don't affect gameplay too much.
@Megumi: That was a good boss battle. World 4's is pretty good too.

@MasterWario: I ocassionally used the show hidden stuff badge to find the last coins on some levels. There are still a couple of levels where I only have 19 coins or less than full life, but I'm fine with that (since I got all the flowers and all the yarn yoshis).
@jariw: Yeah it feels way too cheesy to use show hidden stuff when you have flowers or yarn left, but we've used it to find the last few stamp coins as well. Also, apparently the full life doesn't give you anything anyway, although I haven't beaten everything else so I can't be 100% sure.

@NintyMan: But the life is difficult because you only get 10 right at the beginning. I got everything except life in co-op, and then I ran through it with the no pit badge to see if completing an entire world did anything. Nope, nothing.
@Tsurii: Which ones? The huge ones or the little ones that shoot water; the former are scary, but the later are SO FREAKIN' ANNOYING! So you can get them with the superstomp badge eh? Might have to go try that then...

I got this game for Christmas and have been playing it slowly. I've currently completed Worlds 1 and 2, 100%'ing everything along the way (except the special levels; need to re-do those for its full-hearts star) and I'm loving the game so far in almost every way. As someone's who has played GBA Yoshi's Island, my one problem with the game is the fact that most of the collectables in levels are in hidden ? clouds.
Compared to Island and DS, which did no such thing; it feels like a somewhat cheap way to put them in levels but I am having a fun time regardless. Certainly feels like "Best Yoshi game" material so far. ^^
@MasterWario: My daughter is only 6 so we play anyway she feels comfortable. She often will use the fall in the pit badge and she once in a while will carry us lol. Especially in that magic carpet stage. I'll want to do a more detailed play through of my own one day but I'm happy doing whatever she wants as long as it's not anything but classic mode. She really wants to try that easy mode but I'm telling her I'll stop playing if she does. Is that mean lol.
@Spoony_Tech: I don't think it's mean, or at least, I'd probably do the same exact thing. And with the badges I think it's fine. Ex. in fire levels, you grab that no fire damage badge and you're practically invincible, and no lives means you can always come right back when you die as long as the other person is alive.
And yeah that magic carpet level was tough, but then two levels later I was like, now this is too easy. They should have swapped those two levels on the map.
@DreamyViridi: I've heard that complaint a few times. I don't notice it, but maybe that's because I don't have an issue with it. The yarns tend to be the ones that aren't hiding in ? blocks because you actually have to grab them yourself; although occasionally they are, ofc.

I've recently started to collect all the flowers to gradually get to unlock the secret. World 1-S Hang Tongue was fun, and I was able to collect all the flowers and wonder wool in one go without badges.
Great choice! The S levels are really the best part of the game. I occasionally go back and play them for fun.
@MasterWario: It bothers me because of my previous experiences with Island and DS were such collectables were out in the open or in visible ? clouds. New Island started this trend and even with the correct mentality in mind; I'm a bit iffy on it.
In Woolly World; there are times where I go "There's definitely something under this platform" and there is and I'm happy that I found it myself. Then there are times where I'm missing one stamp badge and I find out that it was in a hidden ? cloud above a checkpoint (where I have no reason to jump up) and stuff like that kinda crosses the line...
