Its not cancelled. Nintendo freaking confirmed it was still alive during their last board meeting or whatever. It was listed with SMT X FE as a " late 2014 title or later" GameInformer reported that months ago. Yarn Yoshi was just shown wayyy too early.

It will probably be released in June/July or confirmed on E3 with release date - I mean, there is nothing worth mentioning in the upcoming months. It's not released now because they need to give time to other games to sell, like Tropical Freeze, New Yoshi etc.
