I think it's because they showed the character's faces, as they were the least detailed parts of Xenoblade Chronicles.
The rest of the game still looks awesome to me.

I'm surprised at the customization. I just hope this means your partners are still characters (I guess this doesn't necessarily mean your guy has no character?) and other people can play as them. Considering the emphasis on story, I have to assume there's still characters so that's good. If I had any worry, it would be that...
