...Well when one of my Skells was destroyed the insurance didn't go down, so I probably missed something when it was destroyed. (I was panicking during those times so yeah, lol)

Were you in the Skell? If not, your party members always perfect a QTE. If it didn't go down, you probably pressed B perfectly.

Yeah my party members couldn't use a Skell at the time, so it probably popped up and I didn't really notice it, lol

I cannot actually talk about what I've been doing with this game because rules but I have certainly starting playing this game so let's see...

honestly I had been doing some silly, potentially not good but still potentially fun little in-character journals. It's a fun little addition, gets me an excuse to do some quick writing and it isn't like your character is that much of a character (at least AFAIK). Not sure if I should post those here or not...

I'm about 4 hours in, but I'll just say for now that Lin is clearly already the best character and that throwing flame grenades at tiny insects is hilarious to me.

Glad you could join us! It gets more fun from here. Lin is great, and so is Elma. Beware the Lin and Tatsu scenes, however, because their interactions get stale pretty quickly.

no, but seriously, you know the advertising rule. Signature only. I won't go into further detail out of fear of God...or at least mods. It's one of those two I'm sure.

I will also say, I thought people might be exaggerating when they said to read the manual. They really weren't. Most of this stuff I could kinda get (at least if I'm not an idiot like that one quest where you need to fight certain enemies BUT ONLY IF YOU HAVE THE RIGHT KNIFE WHICH YOU CAN'T GET UNTIL LEVEL 10). But some of this stuff should've been told the moment you got anything relevant to it. It's just a pointless decision to not do that since Xenoblade Chronicles allowed for some optional tutorials IIRC anyway.

Suuuuuuuuuure.

The whole "Lol Tatsu looks like food and Lin teases him" joke is really overdone. Every story mission so far is just a variation of that joke. But on the bright side, the writing suddenly got interesting with the ending of Chapter 4.

I also just got my skell. But I don't know what to do with it. It seems useless when it can't fly, and it's really wonky to control on the ground. I prefer running through the environments, anyway. Gives a better sense of wonder.

That reminds me....LEARN HOW TO GRILL, LIN!!! lol

"Day 1

During what little time we have to take a break here, I’ve decided I needed to get my thoughts down on this device. I have apparently lost my memories, as I only really remember my name. I’m not sure why you would call someone “Slider”, but this is no time to question myself about this. There is so much I don’t know about, and I don’t know if I was supposed to know about this. I was awakened last night from some sort of pod by a girl named Elma. I have no choice but to follow her, as I have not seen another human being so far on this journey. She is taking me to some sort of colony that I can already see far in the distance. Thankfully, this means there is civilization on this planet. I am not surprised by this, but I am certainly grateful.

I will say, I feel calmer than I perhaps should be. On our way to this cliff, we’ve fought some of the local wildlife (mainly insects). I was suddenly given a gun, but along with my knife, I’ve been fighting these creatures fairly casually all things considered. I wonder if I was some sort of soldier in the past based on this. I remember enough to know that not everyone can handle this type of weapon this easily, so that’s my best guess. I wish I knew something about my past.

Guys there's a huge easter egg in this game! Actually there's two of them!

The Mechonis' Fallen Arm is actually fused with a giant cliff formation in Oblivia along with its shoulder which you can easily spot and recognize from quite a ways away! Also some other various fragments of the Mechonis can be found across Oblivia! Second a few earthen fragments of the Bionis can be found in Primordia/Noctilum as well as the lifeless remains of the giant Frontier Village Tree that's located in the Makna Forest in the original Xenoblade Chronicles!

Just got the Chapter 5 spoiler. Quite excellent. Didn't see that coming at all. Not even slightly. I feel a bit more invested in the story now after that slow start.
