If Nintendo does in fact bring back the Gold Nunchuck reward on Club Nintendo today, I have a dilemma: is it worth it? For that matter, is it worth getting more Wiimotes and nunchucks at all?
I have 2 'chucks and 4 'motes (only two with Motion Plus though). It'd be great to have more for Nintendo Land (for Metroid Blast, of course); although, I do have a friend that can bring some over when we all play. However, I'm not sure I'm going to always need an excess of Wii Remotes and nunchucks in the years ahead.
900 coins is a high price on Club Nintendo. It's a very high price, and will eat up more than half of my stash. I'm not sure how I feel about doing this if I'm never going to need 3+ nunchucks.
Anyone have any thoughts on this or gone through this dilemma themselves?
If you want it simply to have another nunchuk, it's not worth it for 900 coins, you might as well just buy a regular one. But if you want the gold one specifically (like as a collector or to go with a gold wiimote) then that's a different story.

Thanks, @ShadJV. Yea. It's a tough call. It's a pretty cool item as a collector's item (I do have the Gold Wiimote from Skyward Sword), but 900 is hefty! I think I'd do it if I knew Wii U would use it frequently, but I have this feeling it will not...
Yeah, whether it's worth the hefty price depends on your own preferences. Thus far, my coins have gone towards both Game & Watch Collection games and the Game & Watch Ball game. I like getting things that aren't in stores, I can use my money on downloadable games (and if I want them I usually buy them the day they come out), and other stuff like folders or fans don't interest me. I have three nunchuks (technically one belongs to my sister) and it's rare that I would need a fourth (I could usually ask a friend to bring one), but I personally will use the gold nunchuk with my gold remote that I always use and am protective over, haha. Still, if you feel there's other things you'd spend the coins on, save them. Normal nunchuks are what, $20? If you ever need one, you can pick one up fairly cheap compared to this truckload of coins.

Bummer, I just read this. * The gold controller will simply be gold in color and will not contain any actual precious metals. To bad I don't have enough points anyway.
@Master_Ryno It is indeed a shame that there are no precious metals in there. Even half an ounce would have been appreciated and well worth the 900 coins. (http://www.apmex.com/)
