Those things really just get in the way. The game pad isn't something you'd be keeping in your pocket and carrying around, so I don't see the point other than for making your screen slightly less responsive. I'm not one of those with the philosophy that everything needs to be protected. I think things just need to be taken care of and then the protection is largely unnecessary. But, then again, I have friends with screen protectors on everything from their handhelds to their tablets to their desktop monitors to their TVs, so I'm not knocking anyone who thinks they'll need one.

Screen protector? I'm getting an air foam case for that badboy.

Perhaps I've just bought poor ones in the past. Regardless they've never worked for me, so I'll not be investing.

I might get a screen protector just because the screen is unprotected but I haven't used a screen protector in a really long time. What kind of screen protectors do you guys recommend?

Im a big fan of Mario games :)

Get the Hori brand, even Nintendo recommends it. They are the easiest to apply. The 3DS XL ones are already for order on Amazon and I'm sure the Wii U ones will follow soon.

It sounds like there are a lot of people here that don't know how to apply a screen protector properly, I have them on everything, even my ipad and have absolutely no bubbles and you can't even tell they are on there.

Nope. I dont like screen protectors cause after awhile they bubble and peel up and that just bugs me. Besides I am careful enough with my stuff that I dont need them. And as for fingerprints I just take a damp cloth and wipe them away.

If you were really being careful they never would have bubbled and peeled off, I've had mine on for years and they look exactly like they did on day one. It might just be that you are buying poor quality protectors, buy Hori, not generics at Gamestop.

I don't shop at Gamestop. The only thing I have ever had screen protectors on was my Smartphones and I am not the one that put them on the sales person usually does. Anyway its not a big deal for me I am careful as I said and fingerprints can be wiped off. The bubbles on the other hand bug me alot more than fingerprints.
