Do you think the Wii U's Circle pads will affect the sales? Do you want dual analog more?

I don't really care either way, if they have sticks or pads. They both are good in their own ways, as sticks can be more accurate (I think it depends on the situation), but pads look cooler and take up less space.

The only thing that will effect sales are the games available for it. If the games use the controller well and are interesting it will sell..... won't matter too much what it's specs are as long as the end product is interesting

in my opinion, the slides don't mean much to me. I won't lie, my favorite controller that I've used is the XBOX 360 one, as it is just so comfortable to hold for me. The analogs are also very responsive. When analogs are not done right, however, they make gameplay miserable. I never had a GameCube and when I got a Wii, I bought some GameCube games and had to settle for cruddy third party controllers. The analog especially is just awful. When done right, they are amazing and very intuitive, but the slide pad worked well on the 3DS. Might as well not take chances.

I didn't like the feel of them on the Wii U controller I tried as they felt exactly like those on the 3DS system and I'm not crazy about it. I wish they'd switch them back to the regular tilting analog sticks and so did many of the other press outlets I spoke to in LA during E3. That being said, it's not a deal-breaker for me.

Wait, weren't the controllers shown at E3 prototypes? They can probably improve the circle pad or replace it with an analog stick when the design is finalized.
Am I the only one who likes the circle pad ?!? I think its really comfortable and prefer it to regular analogue sticks :/ Besides Im not to bothered with circle pads on the controller but its interesting what corbs said about many disliking it. Could this become a problem in the future for nintendo ?
The only problem I have with the 3DS's circle pad is that when I play for a long time and my thumb starts to get a bit sweaty, it tends to slip out of place a bit. But that's not a massive problem and besides from that I really like it. I found it great for Ocarina of Time.
The Wii U controllers at E3 were prototypes, that's why I mentioned that I wished they'd switch them to the tilting style of analog stick. We'll know more at E3 in 2012 when they show what should be the final hardware.
i'd be worried about precision, really — sometimes i have problems keeping a grip on the circle pad with my thumb, and it kinda has a 'stickier' feel than the analog stick on the Nunchuk, if that makes any sense. I'm not worried, though — like Corbs says, they've got until E3 '12 to get it 'finalized', so that's plenty of time for them to get things right. :3

@theblackdragon I completely agree with you. Hey guys, anyone know if there's a forum on a 3DS redesign? I want to know what people think. If there is, give me a link!

I dunno. I think I would like analogue sticks with inverted thumb pads the most. EDIT: On second thought, perhaps circle pads would be the best. They do work well on 3DS.
