Topic: will wii u sales improve

Right now as I'm typing this I'm playing assassins creed 4 on my brand new wii u, I am loving it

I want third party support to keep on coming, I want to be able to play next years assassins creed,the next far cry,the next arkham game,

You see where I am going with this, I am worried about dev support on wii u,

Will sales improve? Will smash bros and monoliths X be system sellers so we can get those hit multiplats?

No one knows, people can only take best guess.

The ps4/xbo is the fad at the moment and people will buy those over the Wii u. But as the fad fades then people will be looking for a second console and the Wii u could be just that.

Also with games like smash Bros, Mario 3d, Mario kart and such then it will get people to buy the console.

If you wanted to play those games, then you shouldn't have bought a Wii U

Doubt X will be a big hitter, but Smash always moves consoles by the truckload.

Right now, Mario 3D World carries with a huge responsibility on its shoulders.

I think we've had quite enough of these types of threads recently.

This makes no sense, wii u has most of those franchises, people buy consoles for exclusives and multiplats, this is like saying if someone wanted to play watch dogs they shouldn't have bought xbox one

Key word "at the moment." Once the newer ones come out, the Wii U might very well miss out on them since they'll probably be made for the PS4 and Xbox One. If you're lucky, the Wii U will get a ported version.

Well I am getting a Wii U for christmas so there is one extra sale

Mario Kart and Smash Bros will definitely sell systems. Even the PS4 and Xbox one crowds will buy a Wii U once Nintendo releases more games on it

Assuming Nintendo picks up with the marketing (which they finally seem to be doing lately), 2014 should be good for the Wii U. In the mean time 3D World has some big shoes to fill for the remainder of this year.

It don't think it will be anything significant though. As of right now its selling worse than than the Gamecube and Dreamcast.

I have no doubt that Wii U will do better next year. I know of dozens who would buy it just for the New Smash Bros. There are also those Zelda-Fanciers (and with the reviews on ALBW, it's looking like LoZ is headed in the right direction). Mario Kart-mania will occur, and that will have a great impact as well!
From all the previews I've seen of 3D World, It's looking to be one of the best Mario Games! I'm looking forward to collecting all those stamps!

I agree. I just don't think it will happen. But I'm certainly not opposed to the Wii U selling. In fact, if anything, I want it to succeed.

If 3DW, SSB and MKrt8 do not move a ton of units I will take it as a sign of the end times.

I agree for SSB and Mario Kart. If those don't sell like crazy, they either turned out poorly in terms of gameplay, or the Wii U really isn't destined to survive.

Well Wii U is just 100k units to reach the 4 millions sales. It's very hard to believe that they can reach the 5, but I hope christmas time help to pass the 4 millions point.
