Do you think will come to the wii u. I think it may not as they would have to make a wii u version for a small userbase.

I can only dream. Rockstar said they would not be present at E3 and they've been absent from E3 since the San Andreas fiasco so I doubt they'll show up. Also Chinatown Wars sold poorly on the DS (even though it was an amazing game good touch screen usage too), who knows if they wanna risk it with the Wii U. If they did show it though people would go crazy over the Wii U and it'd be a good way to show people Nintendo can also deliver to a mature gaming audience (and I mean the type of mature who like blood, sex, drugs and violence). Also Rockstar did get their hands on a Dev Kit of the Wii U in its early stages so I wonder. Jinkies we got a mystery on our hands here guys!!!

A launch title for the Wii U? I hope it's true (my inner fanboy is yelling like a Justin Bieber fangirl)! I think it's highly unlikely though, we would have heard a little bit more about this game by now.

well notice how everything about the wiiu is on a tight lip as to not reveal anything about the system? well thats why some games arent being talked about or known to becoming all shal be revealed at E3 anyways

Also OMG it's gonna be in LA this time!!! Knowing Rockstar they know how to put a system to good use, I wonder what unique features their game will have on the Wii U. I'm drooling just thinking about it.

So they put in a minigame where you can have sex with your girlfriend in her room. Apparently they lied and said that the minigame wasn't available on the game but turns out it was just locked away on the disc and people were able to find it and Rockstar got into some serious trouble they had to reprint the game but with the minigame removed. Ever since then they haven't shown up at E3 anymore.

Well Rockstar haven't turned up at E3 since but mentions of GTA have. If it is coming to the Wii U and Nintendo want to make a thing about it expect Reggie to pull up his metaphorical sleeve and show a GTA V logo.

@ the OP. Of course it is! Why wouldn't it? Whatever your opinions of the Wii and Wii U all of the hardcore are going to pick up this system for the Marios, Zeldas and Metroids. If they don't then they aren't the hardcore, simple as that. If it does the Chinatown carjacking minigames and bottom screen GPS stuffs then it'll be the definitive version. People will buy it so why not?

I wouldn't be surprised,considering the series sells really well.
So it doesn't hurt the cash cow that much.

I'm gonna vote that it's GTA - if only because it clarifies "first appearance on a Nintendo home console." We've had handheld GTAs in the past but a GTA on the home console is new ground afaik.

I hooope the game comes to Wii U, but I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't. It's a pretty safe bet that most people who would be interested in a Grand Theft Auto game had bought GTA4 on either PS3 or 360, meaning if they want GTA5... they'll buy it on PS3 or 360.

If the Wii U gets games like GTA then the Wii U by itself will become the Wii60. The Wii U needs these games because if it doesn't get them and/or if they don't sell very well then the Wii U ends up in the same boat as the Wii was.... but with shinier looking Marios.

I would certainly think so, and hopefully Rockstar would make the Wii U version the 'best' one. These are the kinds of games Nintendo needs on their console in order to convince people to migrate from the 360 and PS3.
