Hi, I am new. Today, I want to know if my Super Smash Bros for Wii U save data will be on my eShop copy of Super Smash Bros for Wii U, before buying it. I put in "Lots of eShop cards" on my 2015 christmas list, too.

well i downloaded NSMB.U after giving it to a friend a few years ago, and as long as your game downloads where the save file is (i.e system mem or usb memory) then yes it does use the same save file. Regardless of disc or digital the save data saves to the console.

I don't know for sure, but I do know everything is saved on the system, not the disc.

Keep it PG-13-ish.

I don't know about Smash, but my Game & Wario file was used by both the physical and digital copies.

it's saved onto your wii u system or external storage (wherever you put your save data) so yeah you can use your save file on digital version or disc version of super smash bros for wii u

That is good to know: That means, I can switch from the disc version to the digital version. Since I transport my WiiU a lot to play Smash Bros with friends, the digital copy would be more convenient. How big is the download? (If it doesn't fit in the internal memory, it won't make any sense for me.)
