Topic: Will Battlefield ever come to Wii U?

Just wondering because Call Of Duty: Black Ops II can be a fun time killer and all but I want a deeper shooter with vehicles and where you have to work as a team and not run and do your own thing, want something more tactical. And Wii U won't be getting Halo obviously but will it be getting Battlefield?

I'm a PC player but I'll always have a spot for Nintendo. I grew up as a child as a hardcore Nintendo fanboy and I still love their games. The Legend of Zelda still gives me the magic feeling I had when I was a kid. :)

I wouldn't think so but I'll take the bullet so to speak and say that COD is the superior shooter here anyway in terms of pacing.
It lacks this and that but COD for me at least, is much more fun.

CoD is paced better, no argument there. But that's because it's an arcade shooter, Battlefield is more of a simulator, not as much one as ARMA but still more so than CoD. Neither are "bad" games, they are just meant to be played in different moods I think. CoD is more action packed, no bullet drop, no gun recoil, just run and gun action 24/7, while Battlefield is more slow paced, more about team and strategy with vehicles and bigger maps. I think the people who make fun of CoD don't make fun of it because the game is bad, I think they make fun of it because it's so copy and paste every year. I prefer Battlefield but it's just my opinion. Anyone heard of it coming to the Wii U?

When it was announced EA said it would be, but we haven't heard a thing since then.

If by better paced you guys are talking about single player, then yeh, COD beats BF3 hands down.
But these games are all about the multiplayer really and bf3 completely owns COD in this respect IMO.
BF has a close quarters combat that is more visceral and solid than COD's whole multiplayer. It also has teamwork, huge maps, vehicles, better gfx and sound etc. etc. the list goes on. I play COD every now and then it's fun in small doses. But it's a joke compared to BF. I hope Wii U does get BF4 just so people can experience it online that don't have other systems.

Having said that, Battlefield would be pretty crappy on the Wii U. It is extremely CPU intensive, hence 360/PS3 having a max player count of 24 as oposed to PC's 64 per map. It can really ruin some of the big maps and make them feel slow and empty. I can't imagine the Wii U being able to pump out a very respectable frame rate with 24 people battling it out on land in in the skies.

Not only does Black Ops want to have a word with you but you have no idea what you're talking about.

I own Black Ops II on the Wii U, so yes I do know what I am talking about. Don't believe me? Give me your Nintendo Network ID and we can play eachother. Anyway I didn't post that to argue, that's my opinion and I believe CoD is a flat our arcade shooter, not calling it bad, since I play it too, why would I call it bad?

@Treverend: Owning the latest game in the series doesn't qualify you a sudden expert on Call of Duty. Neither does it mean you're prohibited from disliking it. Just sayin'.

I hope they bring battlefield 4 to Wii u

Well I don't dislike it and I've been playing every CoD since the first on PC, what more do I have to do to be a "CoD expert?"

@Treverend: Relax, I was only addressing a possible reality. I'm not arguing with you, as I don't know diddly-squat about CoD anyhow.

Oh sorry if that came off snarky, I wasn't arguing neither.

You have no idea what I'm even saying. Sure, Call of Duty is more arcadey than the runner up Battlefield or Killzone, no one's denying this. But Call of Duty is as much about team work and strategy as any other shooter on the shelf to this day. If you're not communicating you're going to lose. Especially on objective based game modes (take it from the guy who has played every installment since 3 from top to bottom).

Also, if Call of Duty is copy/paste every year, then what is Medal of Honor/Battlefield? Oh right, different name different game.

For a bigger bsttlefield on a console it depends how it's managed. MAG did a massive number and aside from having 256 people in one game then all of the latency issues that go with it, until everyone has a decent internet connection and no cheating lag-switchers massive FPSs on consoles are a little ways off.
MAG also had bugger-all vehicles...
Graphics don't make the total experience either - I had as much fun playing BLOPS and Goldeneye on the Wii as I did similar games on the PS3 (Wii was only option for unemployed sons at the time)

NOW'S THE TIME ON SPROCKETS WHEN Wii U DANCE!!!

Saying CoD's as team driven as Battlefield is a joke, I get first in damn near every game and win without communicating at all, lol. The game is a breeze for me, as it was made to be. Its an arcade pick-me up game where you can just pick it up and pwn. More luck based than skill. And Medal of Honor and Battlefield doesn't release installments every. single. year. now do they?
