3ds player without a doubt. dont see it happening though.

put it on.

Definitely a 3DS player as well. Also, you may want to change the title of the thread so people know what it is about.

I'd agree with Big_L91 & Bulby for choice #1. #2 would be a USB retro controller adapter for VC Games.....along with a unified Wii Shop & E Shop with ALL the games in one spot! That would be awesome as well although that may not really qualify as a Wii U add on because it is more of an accessory.

A GameCube controller.

It isn't really necessary, but a competitively priced, Nintendo-branded hard drive would be neat.

Agreed. Something that makes buying a Hard Drive less complicated, or even a Nintendo Seal on an existing Hard Drive so you know it will 100% work with the Wii U

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

I think the PDP 320GB ext. HDD is licensed by Nintendo. Not really sure though...

Sorry, but if a product has that on it, then the price will go up, not down. SD cards are a great example of this. The "official" Wii and DSi SD cards were more expensive, but they weren't any different from a regular SD card of the same brand (aside from the design and name)

I don't think so because I remember Nintendo saying not to use Hard Drives that get their power from the USB slots. They suggest you use Hard Drives that get their power from the wall.

A small DVR add-on adaptor that can be connected at the bottom of the Gamepad expansion slot for the Wii U to be able to record & share gameplay much like the share button on the PS4 controller.

A small Wi-Fi adaptor that can be connected at the bottom of the Gamepad expansion slot for the Wii U to be able to play on WAN minus the close physical distance to the console.

I have a Toshiba USB 3.0 2TB slim drive that uses 2 USB cables at once with a Y-cable. The HDDs running off of 2 USB ports run more efficiently from what I can see. I had the AC powered drive from Toshiba, and the USB powered one runs faster.
You have to sacrifice a USB port for USB 3.0 ext. HDDs, but I think it's worth it. There's not really anything else that needs a USB port, anyway(for me at least).
I just unplugged Wii Speak which isn't used at all, so it's no big deal.
Nintendo said USB powered ones are good as long as you use a USB Y-cable.

A USB powered drive with a Y cable won't run any faster because of the cable (if it's faster it's because of the hardware inside). The Y cable just uses the extra cable to draw power from the the other USB port, thus providing the device with up to twice the power of one port by itself. That's why they recommend one that plugs into a wall, the USB spec is actually rated to provide less power with one USB port than many of those drives need. They may work, but there's no guarantee it will. Btw, USB 3.0 shouldn't provide any extra speed since the WiiU supports only up to USB 2.x..

I agree that a 3DS Player would be an exceptional add on. Heck, I'd even be happy with Wii U games were able to connect to my 3DS and enact a sort of GBA - Gamecube link thing (you know, the cable that allowed you to play as Tingle with a GBA in Windwaker).

I might actually get to play Legend of Zelda Four Swords if they ever do that lol
