Topic: Wii u worth it?

Is Wii U worth buying? I'm in the UK and I can buy one New for £200 (150 less than the ps4 and xbox), but is it worth buying now or later? I feel the price will drop soon enough with the poor sales and all.
I've always had a Nintendo console along side my "Hardcore Machine" ( PS1 and N64, Xbox and GC, Wii and 360) and I have a 3DS which has some Brilliant games. I'm huge fan of Nintendo IP's (especially the Zelda series).

Smash bros and Mario Kart 8 are around the corner and I'm really tempted to buy one, so to the guys who own a Wii u. Are you happy with it?

I stick to my policy on the question: If there are at least 2-3 games that are currently out that you want to buy then the system is worth getting. It's a great system - the main problem is lack of games, both now and in the foreseeable future.

yes it's totally worth it. honestly i dont see the price dropping any time soon since it's currently priced the same as the ps3. also lots of titles exclusive to the wii u have dropped in price. ive scene zombie u for 17 bucks new on amazon and the wonderful 101 as low as 25.

Two game I really want are Mario Kart 8 and Smash, and their obviously be a new zelda game at some point. I was waiting too see if it went the way of the dreamcast, that's the main reason I Haven't bought one yet. I'm not too sure on the controller, whats the deal with it?

well bad press is one of the main things hurting the system....ie way of the dreamcast. it's a great system. i realy like the game pad. it took me a few days to get used to it honestly. now i prefer it unless i'm playing pikmin

Nope, they come with it. It's needed to play most games.
EDIT: The controller, I meant.

You're asking on a Wii U forum, of course most people are going to say yes. You're asking an incredibly small, horribly biased sample size.

This is like going on Huff Post and asking who they like in the next election.

Plus it's entirely dependent on you personally. For me there's no way the console would be worth it, there's literally nothing for me to play. I'd see more action out of a ball and cup

Of course I'm going to ask on a Wii U forum lol, there's a high possibility you guys own a Wii U and have an opinion on it.

@AlexSays None of the replies so far seem very biased.

I'd say that if you want a Wii U, then buy one, and you most likely won't be disappointed. If you're just curious, maybe it would be better to play one at a friends house or something before you buy one (However, I think most Zelda fans will get one eventually, so once the new Zelda's released you'll probably get one anyway).

Customer service.
Though if you just, lose it, then...you might just need to buy a new one somewhere.

If you want superb non-stop high defying action, then go for the ball and cup.

If you want to play new Nintendo games, then go for the Wii U.

At launch, no, but the library is big enough now to justify the purchase. There's plenty to keep you occupied until the next big software release (Mario Kart 8 on May 30).

However, if you're buying it mainly for Smash/Zelda, it may be best to wait for Smash/Zelda. It's likely to come with a bundle for both, so you can save money that way.
