Hiya my daughter went to go on her wiiu earlier but it wouldn't turn on. The power light is lit up and also the eject Wight light is lit up. We press the power button to turn it on but nothing happens. The light isn't flashing are anything it's just like it's ready to be turned on but like I said it won't when pressing the power button the light doesn't change colour are anything like that. Any help would be great

Are all components in her Wii U wired up? If not, you may have to just dust off all the dust. Something could probably be not working due to that.

Yes everything is all set up fine it was working today then she a break from it she went back to turn it on and it wouldn't come on she's only had it 2 week. I've looked all over the place for clues of what it could be but all I see is to do with the blinking red light. hers isn't blinking

Even though you said everything is wired up, check the cable connecting the Wii U to the TV again. It may be working just fine but can't send signal to the TV because the wire fell out or is in the wrong plug or not inserted into the sockets behind the TV properly.

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

I dont mean it won't get a picture mate. I mean the console itself won't turn on. When I press the power button the light just stays red nothing happens.

Unplug the power cable from the console and from the outlet and let it set for 5 minutes. Plug it all back together and try turning it on then.

When turning the Wii U off wait 4 seconds, before turning it back on, as it can damage the console.

Since it is new take it in for repairs as 12 months warranty ( seems to short ) with the receipt.

Get an air can for computers and blow out the vents. I need to do this, myself.
