I don't get all this complaining. My Wii VC library nicely transferred to my Wii U. I just have to boot into Wii mode and I can download and play everything on my 1080p TV or I just use the gamepad mode when thats more convenient. Via the Wii VC the Wii U gives acces to an ungodly amount of retro games. Its a shame we will probably never see the Sega games on the Wii U side but its not like there would be lots of extra features in those re-releases.

I'm considering to get al the Phantasy Star games in the Wii VC. As I'm from the EU i can trade my Nintendo Stars for Wii points so it feels like getting those games for free. Sure getting a rom and using an emulator on a PC is cheaper but to me the convenience of the Wii U is unbeatable. I even got the special SNES Wii controller via Club Nintendo for that extra retro feeling. I'm still craving for more VC games and every week I look at the new releases. Things will only get better over time.

The complaining is all about the controller situation. To play Wii VC games on Wii U you need a Wii Remote and a Wii Classic Controller (Pro). The latter is discontinued so unless you still own a working one or you find it used for a decent price, virtually all games are unplayable outside of NES which Wii U VC has represented well.

How about the gamecube controller replica?
