Also, it looks like Nintendo added new fake miiverse stuff to spam on the home screen when your turn Miiverse off specifically so people don't spam things when you're on the home screen...lovely...
To follow up on checking Art Academy, it doesn't work to get screenshots from that program, so still no full res captures until the app is updated unfortunately. When trying to post to tumblr, I get a message that says something about images from the app are incompatible. Oh well.

You upload it similarly to Miiverse, but you import it from the system, directly to online if I understand correctly. I haven't tried it yet, but you no longer have to go to Miiverse on another device to post a pic from a post.

The only problem I have with the WiiMode Gamepad streaming (other than the buttons) is that you have to have the TV on and point at the right option to enter it. A bit of an oversight I think.

No you don't. You can turn off the TV and use the GamePad only.
The regular sensor bar still registers if it's there, but other wise you could play Wii games in your car if you really wanted to, assuming the disc doesn't bump around inside of the disc drive. I just tried Arkanoid Plus!.
This update is pretty good. I'm finally able to play Wii games with legitimate surround sound.

The Internet browser is 10 times better now! You can now switch the view mode to ipad, iphone, android... You can now view videos in-page,save passwords and the resolution of the videos is always hd! The keyboard has a cut/ paste function...This update is super awesome!!!
Now they just need to allow Wii games to run/render in 1080p... Oh crap, did I just say that? Just kidding... We'll see what else Nintendo does via firmware updates in due time, I suppose.
If it was Metal Slug on Metal Slug Anthology, you couldn't of done it anyways. No Classic Controller support there due to a stupid and short lived Nintendo policy that limited the Classic Controller to the Virtual Console. And they even messed up their GameCube support since you only were able to use the analog stick for movement.
