Does the Gamepad have those Wii sensor bar lights built in or is that a DIY project?

Anybody know if Kung fu Rabbit is still on sale? Its the reason I turned on my Wii U over an hour ago. Hate to miss a sale price.

Just getting the Gamepad to display Wii games is a big step. I'm sure they'll get the Gamepad to work with button input at some point. As for this conflict with Wii VC and Wii U VC and why anyone would want to upgrade their Wii VC, well, it has other features not present in Wii VC, and they may include more, like maybe cross-platform play for Wii U games with VC. It would be a steal to get my Wii VC games to become Wii U VC games which are then allowed to be played on my 3DS by the cheap upgrade option.

Actually the sensor bar doesn't do anything aside from providing infrared lights for the Wii remote. The Wii remote is what registers the motions

Could it also automatically download patches and updates to games? That could be handy

Awesome feature, been wanting to see this for ages. Actually I think there were a few threads where I was saying it should be a feature and a few of the usual suspects ran around saying it couldn't be done. That "WiiMode" was locked and they couldn't push to the GamePad like that. It was doing what now?

The Wii Off TV play option is kind of lame since you can't use the Wii U controller as input... but it's still a feature that I'll probably use. A LOT. Having a full family means that TV time is rarely my TV time. Now I get a second screen in the same room to play... well, pretty much anything that doesn't require motion/pointer controls.

As it stands now, this is a neat novelty that will benefit me a lot. If the Wii U controller could be patched to work as input later on, this would be AWESOME.

The loading screen for miiverse and the eShop are pretty cool. Plus the text section when you type on the game pad has been changed too.

The Friends list box on the menu is a quick way to know you've been updated. The Miiverse launches w/ a globe and some world times. eShop launches w/ a very orange screen - Kung Fu Rabbit still on sale until Thursday but it wouldnt let me buy it. I thought the eShop icons were bigger - only 4 across instead of 5 - but Im probably wrong.

My tv screen went black twice so I still have that issue. May be time to send it in for repair.

YouTube is incredibly fast now! And I even played a video that I know normally freezes and it's playing perfectly smooth! This is great!
