Today I was playing Twilight Princess on my Wii U. I was in the last part when Ganondorf is a pig and you need yo chase him around... Anyway after a few minutes I couldn't hear anything! I was surprised and thought it could be an effect from the game, but I heard absolutely nothing. i pressed the home button on my Wii Mote but no sound. I even turned up the volume even more on my TV to be sure (it wasn't muted). Went to the Wii Menu, still nothing. i booted up the Wii U menu through the Wii menu (too many Wii's ) and the sound was back! I wanted to keep playing so I inserted the disc again (I removed it after booting up the Wii U menu), went to Wii mode and finished the game. So emotional... Everything worked fine, the sound was perfect , but I'm afraid it may happen again. This had never happened in any sort way so I'm kind of confused. Any idea of what could'vd happened? Was it a glitch? Should i be worried?

Well thanks for taking your time to read this.

The only thing I can think to check would be confirming your sound selection is compatible with your setup. This might seem obvious, however in my case I have a 2.1 speaker setup with a power amplifier - no surround sound happening in my system. Despite this my audio was fine with the default surround sound selected in the Wii U setup menu, but I noticed that during certain parts of some games (cinematic sequences) there was no audio at all. At first I thought this was a bug in the game, but when I changed my audio to "Stereo" everything magically worked, so it's clear that the Wii U doesn't automatically understand anything about your audio equipment.

It might be you just experienced a one-time glitch as evidenced by the fact that it worked when you tried it again, but it can't hurt to double-check!

Try just turning off your TV and turning it back on. Occasionally the audio and video will get out of sync on your TV's end (you can sometimes reproduce this by turning your TV on after the Wii U has already started) and the TV will just have no audio as a result.

Well I played for a few hours today in both Wii and Wii U mode and everything was okay. The sound output on the Wii U was already in
Stereo as my TV doesn't support surround, so hopefully it was a one time thing. Well, thanks for your answers!
