Laugh if you want, but I cannot get my wii u controller out of stylus mode, can anyone tell me how to turn it off?

I do not know what you mean

EDIT: The Wii U Menu accepts both touch and button controls at the same time

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Stylus mode? What do you mean, exactly?

The controller has something called stylus mode but it's only available when you are playing certain games, Pikmin 3 in my case. My 9 year old step daughter plays it as well and after using it, somehow changed a setting and it keeps telling me it's in stylus mode. Now the controls are different because it's in touch mode and not allowing me to bypass that and play using the controls I am used to. Hence, I am irritated and don't want to play. I have looked through all possible settings and can't find how to turn it off.

Oh, that's simple. In game, just pause, and on the Gamepad there should be a little button in the bottom right corner that says "Mode" with a picture of the gamepad next to it. Tap that and you can switch it to Classic mode.
