My Wii U is stuck on the Little Inferno loading screen. It also won't power down, I've tried that. I held the power down button for close to a minute and it didn't power down. My GamePad is working fine, it powers down, but my Wii U won't. What should I do?

Can I do that safely? Wouldn't that brick the system or is that just system updates that'll do that?

i think its just updates, if you had a black out then that'd brick it if I'm wrong, and I'm sure nintendo wouldn't make it like that. But what do I know, I don't own a wiiu. ._."

Well I was a bit gutsy and unplugged my WiiU from the wall once cuz it froze on me and it turned back on fine (this was also not during a system update)

Alright, after some help from @Tricoloryoshi and @RedPanda I unplugged my system and replugged it in.

Even though my TV wouldn't show the game before and there was no noise, I guess that's what to do if this happens.

My Wii U has frozen on me 3 times at this point. Once in Nintendoland, once on the loading screen for the Rayman demo, and once when I was trying to browse TVii.

Your only option is to unplug it.
