I plan on selling my current Wii (and maybe my PS3) once the Wii U comes out. I'll get all the Nintendo games I love in HD, plus many 3rd-party ports from the Xbox 360 & PS3, so it's the best of both worlds.
I've never been a first day adapter so I'll probably wait a few years for it to go down in price. I bought my 3DS in August the day that it dropped in price and that was only with about $120 in game trade ins. I prefer to wait also since theres more games out if you wait, but I can totally see why someone would buy on the first day. To each their own.

I'll get it day 1 if possible; buying the 3DS day 1 paid off for me, and Nintendo has learned from the mistakes there, so I'm hoping it'll pay off even more, that being said, you got my hopes up, I came in here hoping to see a leaked release date from the title
I'm going to buy this as soon as it's available. I usually want to buy stuff in the U.S. to save money but I will buy this wherever I can as soon as I can and won't wait this time like previously. This is it.

Exactly. It's the ultimate console of all time.
Not only does the 3DS come with an SD card, but it also happens to come pre-installed with one, additional dimension.
Couple of years or so after it releases. Or even later, depending. Games will still be just as good years later, but it's not worth buying for a select few big releases. also I wanna see how much it fails
Made my mind up that I was buying it day one before the console was even officially announced. Will wait to hear how much it will cost and then put aside as much as I need for it.
day one for me! The next gen can't come quick enough for me! As long as it launches with at least one mario or zelda game the launch shud go down well!? At the mo I actually really wanna play colonial marines on it,hopin that the tablet controller is guna be used as the motion tracker from the films!
I'm having a hard time deciding if I'm going to get one on launch this time around.
I've usually been an early-adopter for new Nintendo hardware, sans handhelds. I bought the Wii on launch night, and basically all the other systems within a few months to a year of their launch (except the Gamecube, which I missed out on). This gen, however, I went way too overboard and bought the PS3 and XBox 360 as well. I'll never do that again. I'm picking one console and sticking to it.
I might ride out the first few months to a year on Wii U just to make sure it's the system for me, but I almost know it will be, so part of me says to just go for it!
E3 will probably be a big selling point. With all the buzz of apps on the tablet controller and Nintendo's new online strategies, I'm very interested to see what they have in store. I'm not one to wish time away, but I'm definitely looking forward to this summer.
