Started this post for what the Nintendo Community wants for the Wii U to have in later updates. I personally want Cross-Game Chat. I don't know what the console needs to be able to support this but I would like this feature. I also would like to see a Join Game feature from the friends list like the one on the 3DS. I lastly like the feature to have a music app running while playing a game.
What are your thoughts leave them in the comments!
I was considering starting my own thread similar to this until I found yours. I agree with basically all of your mentioned ideas, as these would all be nice, welcome additions to the console. To add my own two cents, I would like to see a folder storage system as they have on 3DS, where it allows you to create folders to store your games and applications in. This would allow for our Wii U home menu to look much cleaner and more organized. It'd be a subtle update, but I think many people would welcome this feature with open arms.
I don't know when Miiverse is to arrive on the 3DS, but I would like a Miiverse link between the Wii U, 3DS, and other devices. For example, someone posts a Miiverse post on his/her computer and it is seen on both the Wii U and the computer, or vice versa.
I find the support for Wii U and 3DS link capability as something that thy should really imput to their services. Nintendo has already made an integration of the TV control function with out the need for a special TV. I think that Nintendo should also try to implement the ability to use the Home button whenever you choose. Though that may be a developer choice I don't know, I think people would really like to use it when needing to look up something even when they are in a Monster Hunter Battle.
I could go Super Sonic!
My body is ready!

I would like to see the activity log updated. They should design it more like it's counterpart on the 3DS with it's more comprehensive chart system. I spent so much time reviewing my gaming habits and prefrences... The current Wii U one seems somehow half-baked to me.

I'd like a password madeout of some sort of button order, something like Y,X, ZL, +. That way I don't have to get my gamepad to fill in my password. The charging cradle is quite far away from my couch and everytime I forget to get my Gamepad I detect myself being a bit annoyed about having to fill in that password. I don't know if I can switch off my password but because some family members might like to infect my account I'd like to keep it on there.

I think greater Miiverse support really would be wonderful.
Especially since it's already such a unique feature, and is really helping to drive this system further.
And as somebody who uses the Drawing abilities fairly often it'd be neat if you had the option to save a post and continue it later. Also, the ability to have in-game messages arrive from Miiverse may also be nice, merely to see when people are commenting/Yeahing your posts, or when a friend has messaged you back
A video/music player with network and USB capability so it would be possible to stream/play AVI/MP4/MP3/AAC videos/music on the system.
A folder system that allows name and icon customization.
Wii U/3DS integration, with unified accounts across the systems (with unified MiiVerse too).
Standardized wireless headsets.
Don't forget MKV format. Sure, all new bluray players can do mkv with usb, but non have the gamepad. Could browse through pictures and movies with ease, even choose to which spot you want to rewind to simply by dragging your finger.
