I actually know that this was already presented as an idea in numerous posts, and people were thinking about it way before Wii U's release, but I am going to present my own idea. Now just before You read it; I want to imply that I didn't read any other posts, so these ideas are solely coming from my head.

Because Of Wii U's high capabilities both with its touchscreen/motion controller and its very powerful speculations I believe they could make a superior game out of this, that is NOT a stadium game, but rather a free roaming original style RPG game that pokemon had to offer which people still play and enjoy.

My Ideas for the Pokemon RPG game that could be on the Wii U is this; You could have an original 2D graphical game on your bottom screen and you could use it to easily move around using the Up, Down, Left and Right buttons. This could just add simplicity for those not used to the controller. You can, of course, set the button layout to change those keys.
On the main screen while you are running around; there would be a 3D world (hopefully well designed and of course, with beautiful, cartoony visuals). For this manner, a good use of cel shading would be pleased and an overall good idea. Of course they should work on the physics and the overall triggers (for example, if you bump into a house, don't keep running, but stop and lean against the wall or something. As an overview of the travelling and engaging with trainers in the game; I would think that they could add more realistic options for accepting/declining trainer requests and climbing rocks and hills small enough to climb. This would add more realism and more challenge to the game and what you have to find in order to progress. Getting rid of all the basic "tree in the way, I can't go around it" stuff would be gotten rid off, and they could put something more sensual on the way that would be able to actually block the player off from progressing. This could be something such as a blocked off gate that could be only cut through because the lock is on it and only the gym leaders could allow passing through, since they are the sorts of "village leaders". At the same time while making it more sensual and realistic I would not accept a game with its silly dialogues and without any RPG sense in it. You would of course need to explore and ask many people directions, and ask people to do errands for them using your Pokemon, trading, and so on. This may in fact make people think that it has the concepts of a Zelda game but hey, that by no means is a bad thing because Zelda games are amazing and adding their concepts to an RPG would, in my opinion, be a great success.
I would also add a more........believable introduction and character creation screen. I would add Character customization including the clothes... no nudity of course or anything inappropriate of any sort would be allowed, and creating hairstyles and of course the classic — Names. I would love to have good voice acting in the game and more effort spent on characters. They could think of a story behind each character and just give little tips in the characters' houses to find out more about them which wouldn't be compulsory but it would be a really nice touch. (Also thinking of the "Why would a character do this" would be helpful. I also didn't buy the 'professor and expert of Pokemon who literally remembers almost every single Pokemon in their life but can not tell the gender of a human' thing either.)
Of course the music and theme songs for dungeons and towns would be highly expected and demanded to be good at an expert's level. And it would be REALLY good to include every Pokemon up to date in the game and with the new eShop and its capability of DLCs I would LOVE to have a DLC option for every new generation that comes out; they actually implement it in the game (Might be paid for, for example 10-20$ for each new generation but adds new areas and some Pokemon appear in Older areas).
This one doesn't really bother me a lot, but it might bother some people; like in mass effect with the character save data implementation a DS to Wii U save file of your Pokemon would be a great addition, you would of course need to make a character for it and your Pokemon will need to start at level 5 and will need to be put in the Pokemon center Which will only be at the second town you will find.
The world needs to be atmospheric and huge, even bigger than any other Pokemon game world out there. This might be requiring but if you put a Pokemon game onto the Wii U it HAS to be good, Right?
I will post more Ideas onto this thread once I think of more, but for now I have written a lot and I wouldn't remember every thing that I didn't include.

This game might be demanding a lot of work but it has to be an excellent best-seller game. Come on.
Tell me your ideas and do you agree with mine?

I think you've come up with some great ideas, @WraithenChaos, such as the cel-shaded graphics (which I absolutely DIG) and the DLC. I agree that Pokemon should be expanded as a bigger game of a massive scope, and maybe even be more complex, but, unfortunately, Gamefreak has said many times when this issue has been raised in an interview that Pokemon is really just suited as a handheld experience, and that it doesn't really fit the home console, so that is a shame. But come to think of it, Pokemon has been accused of getting a little old and repetitive lately, and this could be a way to make it fresh again...

BTW - I saw that you joined the site about an hour ago. Welcome! (Oh, and, I also saw you details, and as a matter of a fact, I am also a 14 year old male who lives in Australia, so that is cool to see!)

I'm actually gonna post quite a lot of threads, because of how many things I have to talk about on the Wii U topic. So if you see the whole forum spammed by my threads, don't become enraged.

No! We won't be enraged at all! All of your Wii U threads are a downside better than the constant 3DS friend code sharing threads newcomers keep making! Don't they think that there would be one already?!

Anyways, we should get back on topic, or we will upset the black dragon!

Actually, we'd appreciate it if you'd join some of the established discussions as opposed to spamming the forums with duplicate topics. We've got a pokemon-for-Wii U thread here if you'd like to share your thoughts with everyone there, WraithenChaos. Enjoy! :3
