Topic: Wii U on PC monitor

Lately, I started to use my PC monitor to play Wii U games because of responsiveness. My TV isn't as good as my monitor, even in game mode. There is one problem, however. When accessing to anything Wii related, the display may be okay, but after returning to the Wii U menu, the colors would be pink/greenish. This isn't a big problem, as the colors are fixed by restarting the monitor (turn it off, then on). However, there is this problem where the screen would just be black and then come back normally during Wii gameplay. I've noticed it the most when playing Prime Trilogy. I have a Dell ST2420L. I actually posted this problem in the forums. Anyway, what I want to know is if this problem will be present in all monitors or if it's just mine. If it is just mine, what gaming monitors do you recommend that won't have the Wii issue?

Have you tried using a different cable between the Wii U and monitor and checked if the TV/monitor settings are correct on your Wii U?

Dont have the same monitor, but i guarantee 99% of monitors wont have that issue. my Wii U plays like a dream on my asus MX279H. its a bit expensive at 270$~ though so maybe not right for you. i recommend getting any non-TN 1080p display you can afford. IPS, PLS and VA looks drastically better than TN panels especially when viewed at an angle. Samsung has some pretty good PLS monitors in their syncmaster lineup that cost below 200$. i use them at work, pretty good value for the price. once again, strongly recommend not getting a TN panel if you can afford it. some PC gamers might tell you TN is better because it tends to have lower input lag (1ms vs 5ms) but unless you are an e-sporst gamer playing at 175fps, you wont notice. trust me you want IPS, PLS or VA
