So, did no one see Monolith Soft's trailer for the new project titled X? Looks absolutely beautiful and gigantic. Most likely a new Xeno game, no telling if sequel to Xenoblade or if it's another Xenosaga or gears.

There's already another thread dedicated to it in the forum.

I'll have to watch the ND later. I read through the Nintendolife comment feed and am very excited about Wind Waker HD. Due to the comments of how amazing this was, I'll have to watch it when I get home.

That was massive. I was grinning and talking to the TV like a fool. Wii U is my first launch day console and it's quite exciting seeing these things develop. I don't think there was a game previewed that I'm not likely to buy.

Personally I don't see a problem with the lack of 1st party titles thus far; it give the indies and 3rd parties time to have the spotlight and after past complaints about Nintendo that can't hurt. Of course their expanded partnerships mean that a lot of Nintendo published titles are going to end up looking more like 3rd party releases anyway. It's almost like Nintendo is playing Godfather of Gaming by bringing these other studios into their house by supporting projects that might otherwise have gone unfunded. I have to think that would be a better experience than Infinity Ward's following the Activision acquisition...

Anyway, some more posts and then I'm playing the Cave demo and downloading Balloon Fight!

I can't afford to buy every title but basically, yes! It is interesting watching Nintendo begin to act as the big brother to a variety of Japanese independent studios. It's a good way of not only getting different games on the console and developing a quality product but to allow these games to develop outside of the Nintendo first party pressure cooker. I know the rumours are rife about a new IP but whatever it is I think there'll be some backlash about it not being as good as Mario/Zelda/Metroid/Star Fox.

Personally I'm getting plenty of playing time out of NG3 and Darksiders 2 at the moment, I think Nintendo are doing well at growing a platform for third parties and long may it continue. (It is fun to be part of a launch for the first tine, isn't it!)

Well, color me impressed. That was substantially more than I expected. Definitely better than E3, that's for sure (although I guess that isn't very hard to top ).

Best thread ever

I am officially sold on a Wii U, but I think I'm going to wait until I've beaten the games I have now and the Wii U game prices drop.

Just watched the whole thing from start to finish. That rocked.

It is cool to adopt a system from the start and watch it grow (somebody else said that). They seem to have a solid plan, which is comforting. It's so easy to get lost in internet forum speculation that always seems to follow the most depressing route, you know? It's nice to have The Big N step in and lay down the law, so to speak lol.

I'm excited about the Wind Waker remake, the virtual console is going to own my wallet, and that Yoshi game is already brining back so many memories. Dang.

There's a reason Nintendo is still around.

Wow, that was amazing and I can't wait for these games! I can now see why people have been saying that this was the best ND ever! This year's E3 is going to be amazing! (All Exclamation Marks! )

It looks like Nintendo is doing everything fans have been asking for.

HD classics
Wii U VC
First party exclusive games.

I want more but they're getting there.

...in my pants.

Does anyone else seriously love Nintendo Directs? They like brighten up my day tremendously.

Anyways. This was awesome. Now I await the breakout 3DS Ninty Direct ;_;
(Pokemon X and Y announcement was pretty insane though)
