Yeah specially since the latest update (the small one) that was meant to fix the GamePad hanging issues that the previous update (the big one) introduced.
I have had a couple of really nasty freezes, though they both came while I was trying to play Skylanders so I choose to blame Activision for my misfortunes
Where's the KABOOM?! There was supposed to be an earth-shattering KABOOM! sigh delays...delays...
Mine never froze until the update. Occasionally it'll freeze for about 10 seconds when I go the Wii U menu (this usually happens when the Miis are running to different Miiverse groups in the warawara plaza), but no freezes during games or freezes that last forever

I don't think that's freezing, that's just it loading all of the stuff. They made it so stuff appeared earlier so that you spend less time waiting for it to load. Freezing is when the system hangs and doesn't stop until you reset. Combined with a loud buzzing noise.

Mine hasn't frozen in the least since the latest updates. However, Lego City: Undercover did admittedly freeze once or twice before either of those updates were introduced. Seems like it's a issue Nintendo is intending of tackling however, and as it were I happen to trust Nintendo a great deal
Im just curious to see the rate of freezes and hangs on the new XBox One since its multitasking so many things not even related to gaming AND runs on a Windows 8 kernel. lol...

The fact it runs on the Windows 8 kernel is pretty good news because is quite unlikely to freeze. Win8 is very stable, reliable and uses very little system resources (specially compared to Windows 7 and Vista). Plus it has a dedicated CPU core and dedicated RAM for the OS (in fact, all 3 next gen consoles have RAM dedicated to the OS). Besides, from the XBOX ONE reveal, it looks like they have games running separately from the Windows 8 kernel (probably a security measure).
The Wii U freezing issues seem to be directly related to the way the OS is handling memory. I have yet to see mine freezing when not loading or saving stuff.
